I stir as I hear a beeping to my right, and as I try to open my eyes I struggle feeling as though they were closed shut.

I immediately remember what had happened and the first thought that comes to me is, Heaven. I'm in heaven. Or considering the fact that I have been to church once in my 17 years, most likely I was in hell.

As my eyes open and I adjust to the glaring white light, I see that in fact I was in a private hospital room with large windows to my left and a beeping monitor to my right.

Holy Jesus, I was alive. I was alive.

I could feel a tingling in my nose and reaching up I felt a small tube sitting on my upper lip with small airways to my nostrils helping me breathe better. Looking down I saw another tube attached with a needle to my arm, and resting beside my arm was a dark brown head of hair.

He was asleep with his body hunched over the bed as he sat in what must have been an uncomfortable chair.

Lifting my hand I place it on his unruly hair and feel the soft locks between my fingers.

"Hey" I try to say but it comes out broken and quiet causing my dry throat to clench.

He stirs slightly before his head jolts up and he looks at me with wide blood shot eyes.

"Finn." he says in awe as his messy hair falls over his brows.

"Hi." I say my eyes instantly watering as a large smile overtakes my face.

We were both alive, both okay and both here.

As an equally large grin overtakes his face he sits up and envelops me in a tight hug, burying his face in my neck as my arms go around him and tears of joy wrack my body.

"I can't believe you're okay." He says softly against my skin.

"I'm okay." I repeat hardly believing it myself. As he pulls back his lips touch mine briefly before wiping my tears away with his thumbs.

"I was so scared I lost you." He says, his eyes roaming every square inch of my face.

"What happened?" I ask, my memory failing me.

"Raven, he-"

"Finn? Oh my god! Mum she's awake!" Laurens yells suddenly interrupting us as she runs in the room and stands right next to me holding my hand in hers.

"I'm scared to hug you incase you break." She says as her tears start to well up.

"Lauren are you crying?" I ask her. "I didn't even realise you had tear ducts."

"I'm not crying." She says whilst crying. "Kota why didn't you tell us she was awake?" Lauren says angrily.

"She only just woke up!" He laughs holding his hands up in surrender.

"Oh Finn!" I hear mum as she runs in the room also crying. Man emotions everywhere.

"I'll give you guys some time." Kota says squeezing my hand and stepping outside.

"You had us all so worried honey."Mum says. "But Doctor Frederickson did an absolutely marvellous job and removed the bullet."

"Bullet..." I solaced, finally thinking about the fact that I was shot with a gun. "Oh my god Raven!" I say sitting up hurridly but groaning in pain as I fall back to the cushion.

"Watch it Finn!" Lauren says. "You have a pretty significant hole in you."

Pulling the covers down and my hospital provided shirt up I see a large white bandage spotted with blood on my purple bruised stomach. Presumably from Ravens kick.
