My Adventure Is A Boy Named Kota.

Chapter 23 - Perry the Platypus and an Eternal Night.

"Wait so why isn't Raven your date again? He is your boyfriend right?" Lauren asks whilst she sits cross legged in front of me holding my nails with one hand and nail polish in her other.

We were currently sitting in my nosey sister's room getting ready for the banquet happening tonight. After the previous nights events, I decided that I should probably stay away from Kota today until this afternoon. Lauren promised to help me get get ready as she, like Willow, was quite a professional in the beauty department. I had already painted her nails a lavender colour to match her dress and she was currently painting mine a nude shade.

Her room was the complete opposite of mine with deep purple wallpaper, it's walls were covered with posters and magazine cutouts of celebrities and hot male models. Even I can admit that some of them are drool worthy.

"I told you Lauren, he has stuff on besides stop calling him that. He's not my boyfriend." I respond.

"Well then what is he?"

"He's just a boy that is a friend, and I am dating him... But that still doesn't mean he's my boyfriend!" I rush as she gives me a curious brow.

"Well at least you have Kota and he's decent enough. Meanwhile I'm stuck with freaking Perry Frederickson." She grumbles.

"Perry Frederickson? Really?" I ask her.

Perry the grass hat platypus was mums boss's son, and boy didn't he know it. Whenever we saw him he would always act like he was our boss, it didn't matter that we were the same age, in Perry's eyes he was superior.

"Yeah. Don't ask." She sighs as she finishes painting my final nails and gives a small smile at her handy work.

"I could have gotten either Corey or Leif to come with you." I say to her. "I mean you have been getting along well with them." She pauses at this.

"No, its too late now, and besides I'm sure they are both busy with other stuff." She says.

"I don't think they are. Leif texted me and said they were in town getting a suit with Kota and would come over to see us before we leave." I tell her causing her to look up at me with crystal blue eyes.

"Yeah well I guess they will meet Perry, he's picking us up in his dads Limo." She grumbles.

"Well, looking forward to that." I say "So what do we have to do next?" I ask her now that my nails were dry.

"Run fast and far."

"Now there's an idea."

Fifteen minutes before we had to leave I was standing in front of my bedroom mirror looking at my reflection. The dress itself was beautiful and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it in the store. The top was a silver sparkly material and was cut into a heart shape neckline. It ended just below my chest where it then flowed into a soft pink material that ended at my mid thigh. Lauren had curled my hair so that it hung in soft waves around my face, she also kept my makeup mostly nude with a little pink gloss and blush.

As I scrutinised myself in the mirror and brushed the imaginary dust from my dress Kota's figure suddenly appeared behind me in the reflection. Him showing up didn't even scare me anymore, I was kind of just used to it.

I almost fainted at how attractive he looked. His hair was styled and pushed off of his face so that his blue eyes were more stand out. The suit he was wearing looked like it was made for him as it sculpted his broad shoulders and tall figure perfectly. He stood there next to my window, where I guess he climbed through, with his hands in his pockets and he looked at me with wide eyes. I couldn't stop staring at him, he looked like he should be on the cover of a mens magazine.
