The first thing that registered in my mind was pain. My head was absolutely throbbing, and as I tried to reach up and touch it, I couldn't move my hands. Looking down I saw that they were strapped to the chair I was currently sitting in with zip-ties.
Lifting my gaze I could see that I was in a dusky warehouse of some sort, it was barely lit and in the dark light I had to look around to see if I could recognise anything.
I tried to move my hands and break the restraints but they were already too tight and I could feel them cutting into my skin. Panic settled in as I remembered what had happened before I was knocked out cold.
I had been taken by two men and I had recognised them. They were Ravens friends from the Pizza Palace on our first date and I could only assume who they had taken me to.
Realising the situation I was in, my heartbeat thumped against my chest as I knew no matter what I had to escape. I couldn't be left with Raven again.
Just as I moved again trying to break free, I heard several footsteps come from my left and Raven as well as Nico and Paul emerged behind a large door.
"Ahh, there she is. Decided to finally join us sleepyhead?" Raven says smiling and clapping his hands rubbing them together. "Boys, you did a marvellous job, and I will be sending you your cheques tomorrow morning. Now go load my bags on the boat and leave us be." Boat? What boat?
"Yes sir." They both mutter, giving me a final look before walking away.
I do nothing but stare at Raven as my head spins with ideas on what to do.
Looking at him I see the face I have always seen. Cleanly shaven with his hair neatly combed back as he's clad in a hoodie and jeans. On the outside one could so easily picture him as a Highschool student. But I knew who he really was.
"Raven. What the fuck am I doing here? Let me go. Kota will be looking for m-" But I'm cut off as Ravens large hand is placed over my mouth and his rigid angry face is right in front of mine making me shiver with terror.
"Don't say that fucking name! You hear me?" He yells. "If I hear that word again then there will be consequences." He says before pulling back his hand from my mouth and taking a few steps back, smoothing his hair and calming his demeanour.
"Actually let's just set a few ground rules right now shall we?" He says pacing in front of me.
"If you scream, or yell for help or do anything as to so much agitate me. Then I'm going to have to hurt you." He says with such conviction that I stay rigid. "And believe me Finn, I will hurt you."
Slowly I take a deep breath before I try to reason with him. "Raven, please I'm scared. I want to go home."
"But you can't go home. You just got here, and you need to hear my side of the story." He says excitedly. "And then? Ooh, you'll love it. And then you and me are going to take a trip to get out of this town, away from these people."
He's sick. I think as I look at him talk. He was actually sick and I don't know how I hadn't picked it up before.
"You see Finn." He continues talking. "We were meant to be together. I knew that the moment I saw you. I didn't actually meet you at Daves party. No. The first time I saw you was at this little ice cream parlour on the beach a few weeks before. You were sitting with your sister, with this blue top and a pair of sunglasses perched on your head. You and her were laughing over something and you just looked so radiant." He said.
I remembered the memory he was talking about and I shivered as I realised Raven had been secretly watching me and that now that memory would be forever tainted.
