It wasn't until Monday morning when I woke up to get ready for school did I realise that today was the day I would have to see him. I shivered at the thought of his hands on my body and how quickly he was able to get his hands underneath my shirt. Hence, why I went for an oversize hoodie and jeans today. I tied my hair in a messy bun on top of my head and headed downstairs and straight out the front door. Kota was already there waiting for me, leaning against his bike, when he heard the front door close, he looked up at me and smiled, but his smile instantly dropped when he saw my face. I walked over to him and tried my best to smile but it just wasn't working out for me, Kota could read me like a book.
"I'm not leaving your side Greenie." He says to me. "I'll be here the whole day."
I nod at this and give him small smile.
"Come on lets go" He says grabbing my hand and pulling me on the back of the bike.
I instantly wrap my arms around him and don't hesitate to rest my cheek against his warm back.
Walking into school, Kota and I head straight to my locker. Whilst I keep my head down his eyes scan the hallways trying to spot that familiar head of brown hair, and when he does, he freezes.
Raven is looking straight at me from across the hallway, and when he sees me he begins to make his way over. I instantly flinch and step back hitting my locker, whilst Kota leaps forward and grabs Raven by the shirt, smashing him against the lockers beside me. Everyone around us freezes and watches the spectacle before us.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing Raven." Kota asks him
"I'm not afraid of you Kota." Raven spits back shoving Kota with a surprising amount of strength. "Finn, I need to talk to you." Says Raven turning to me. I get a good look at his face because of this, with one black swollen eye and a bandage over his nose as well as a cut on his lip and bruises on either side of his jaw, he looks like a complete mess. "Didn't you get my phone calls?" Yes, yes I did receive over 30 phone calls from Raven on the weekend, none of which I replied too.
"You don't fucking get to talk to her." Kota says grabbing Raven by the shirt and pulling him back.
"Or what Kota, what are you going to do about it? Why don't you just leave her alone, everyone knows she's too good for you." Raven says turning back to him and stepping close with a menacing glower.
"What but she's not too good for you?" Kota asks stepping forward.
"You stay the fuck out of this, this is between me and her." says Raven.
"Woah, guys, guys, What is going on here?" Ben asks stepping between the two boys and pushing them slightly back. "Raven, what happened to your face?" asks Ben turning to him.
"Go on Raven, why don't you tell him exactly what happened." Pipes up Kota harshly shoving Raven back once again. As Raven raises his fists ready to punch Kota a strong voice interrupts.
"Hey! Stop that right now!" Yells Mrs Morgan walking down the hallway with the click clacking of her heels. Everyone around us moves away and disappears as quickly as they can. "Mr Rivers, Mr Turner, Follow me to my office. Now."
Both Kota and Raven glare at each other with hard looks before following Mrs Morgan down the hallway.
Bens eyes follow them before turning to me searching my scared face for answers.
"Finn." He says snapping me out of my trance.
"I-uh, I have to go." I answer him looking around me seeing that everyone in the hallway is looking at us. They are whispering and gossiping and pointing and I am once again in the centre of unwanted attention.
