Hanging with Abby

Colby's POV:

I really wanted to go out with Abby. Now that Abby has officially broken up with that Lucas guy, I actually have a shot.

"Cooolllllbbbyyyy?" said Jon, waving his hand in front of my face.

"Huh, what?" I asked.

"What were you thinking about?" asked Joe.

"I wanna ask Abby on a date." I said.

"Our boy has a thing for her then?" asked Jon.

"Yeah." I said, blushing slightly.  

"Well you have to be careful. She just came out of a relationship and she has just started liking you as a friend. One wrong move can ruin everything." said Joe.

"True." I said.

"And you might need to talk to Nikki and Brie about this too." said Jon.

"Shit yeah, I forgot about them. I should go see them now." I said, getting up.

I knocked on their hotel room door and waited for them to answer. Nikki opened the door.

"Oh Colby, what are you doing here?" she asked.

"Hi Nikki, I need to talk to you and Brie about something." I said.

"Okay, come on in." she said, letting me in.

I walked in and sat down on the couch.

"Where's Brie?" I asked.

"She's just gone to the store. She said she'll be back in a few minutes." she replied.

Nikki and I had a conversation about work and stuff when Brie arrived with a few bags.

"Hey Nikki, I'm back." she said.

Then she saw me and smiled.

"Hi Colby, What are you doing here?" she asked.

"I needed to talk to you and your sister." I said.

"Okay, just give me one sec." she said, walking into the kitchen.

She came back out with Nikki and they both sat down next to me.

"So what's up?" asked Nikki.

"Okay well, if it's okay with you girls, I wanted to ask Abby out." I said.

"YOU LIKE ABBY??!!" they said together.

"Yeah." I said.

"Wow, okay, I guess if you wanted to ask her out then we don't really have a problem with it." said Brie.

"Yeah but if you hurt her, there will be consequences." said Nikki.

"Okay and one question, what are her favorite flowers?" I asked.

"White roses." They both said.

"Okay thanks girls." I said.

I went to the hotel room I shared with Abby and I opened the door to see her watching TV.

"Hi Abby." I said.

"Hi Colby." she said.

"What are you watching?" I asked.

"The Walking Dead. My favorite show ever." she said smiling.

"Really, that's actually my favorite show too." I said as I sat down next to her.

"Yay, now I have a walking dead buddy." she said, putting her head on my shoulder.

Butterflies instantly appeared in my stomach. I put my head on hers as we watched the rest of the episode.

After the episode ended, I decided to ask her if we should go for lunch.

"Hey Abby, should we go and have lunch?? I am so hungry." I said.

"I know, I heard your stomach growling." she said laughing.

My face turned red.

"Really?" I asked.

"No, I was joking." she said.

A wave of relief came over me. That would have been embarrassing.

We had an amazing lunch together and we hung out for the rest of the day. I'm really hoping that she'll like me.
