The Classic Ex Card

The next day.....

Colby's POV:

"Babe, you ready yet??" I heard Abby call from downstairs.

"Yeah, I'm coming."

Today, Abby and I were going to the hospital to check my ribs. I wanted to start preparing to get back in the ring. I realized sitting home and crying wasn't going to do anything for me. I had to pick myself up and go for it.

"I'm so proud of you." Abby said.

"Thanks, but this is all because of you." I smiled.

We shared a kiss before leaving the house.

When we got to the hospital, I was taken to get an x-ray done. Then we waited for the results in the doctor's room.

"W-what will happen if they haven't healed?" I asked.

"Don't think like that Colby. They might not have healed completely but they will have made a lot of progress." Abby said, squeezing my hand.

Then the doctor came into the room.

"So, will I be able to make it to Summerslam?" I asked him. 

"Well, your ribs have made a lot of progress. There aren't broken but still very fragile and I'm afraid you won't make it for Summerslam." he said, making my heart sink. "Although, you're allowed to train again and if you work hard enough without putting too much pressure on your ribs, there is a very slight chance you could be back for Summerslam."

"Really??" I asked in excitement.

"Yes but I strongly recommend you return after Summerslam. It's for your own safety."

"That's great news. Thank you so much." Abby said.

"I can't believe I'll be back in the ring again." I said as we got back home.

"Me too. It'll be great having you around with the guys again." Abby said.

"When are they gonna be back?" 

"In a few days. Vince wanted them for a few matches." 

I nodded and made my way to the couch.

"Do you want anything to drink Love?" Abby asked me.

"Nah, I'm good. Thanks." I said.

I felt my eyes getting heavy as I fell into a deep sleep.

"Oh, hi Colby. It's nice seeing you here." Randy said.

"Urrrrr......you too." I said.

"You here with Joe and Jon??" He asked.

"Yeah, and I see you're on a date with her." I said, looking at her.

"I guess you could call it that. I hope you don't mind. I know what happened between the two of you and-"

"No, it's clear that Abby has gotten over me. It'll take me a little bit of time but I guess I'll eventually get over her too." I said, making Abby look at me.

"Colby, I-"

"Randy, I'm gonna go. I'll maybe see you later. I hope you two have fun." I said, completely ignoring Abby and trying to keep my tears in.

"Okay, I'll see you around."

I left the bar and headed straight for the exit. I had to get out of here.

"Colb?? Where are you going??" Joe and Jon asked as I walked past the booth.

I ignored them and walked out of the club, heading back to the hotel.

"Colby?? Colby, wake up."

I shot up and felt my cheeks wet with tears.

"Are you okay?" Abby asked.

"D-did you...go out with..Randy?"

"Urr....I..urrr..."

"So, that's a yes?" 

She nodded slowly. "But that was when we were broken up and he asked me. I couldn't be rude and say no."

"It's okay. I still have you so it's fine." I smiled slightly.

We both shared a kiss which then turned into a hot make out session.

Abby's POV:

"You know what guys, I'm really excited for Summerslam. I can't wait to kick Carmella's ass." I said as I stood in the ring with Charlotte and Naomi.

"Yeah and I'm very excited to kick Natalya's ass. She messed with the Queen. There's going to be consequences." Charlotte said.

"And don't think we've forgotten about you Tamina. I'm after you." Naomi said as the crowd cheered.

Suddenly, all three women came out and stood in the ring with us.

"Yeah Abby, you're not beating me." Carmella started. "First of all, I'm gonna have Ellsworth in my corner. Who are you gonna have?? Charlotte and Naomi will be in their own matches. You have no-one on your side. Second of all, I know your weakness. Seth Rollins or my ex. I can say one thing against him which could break you because I know so much more about him then you do."

"Oh Carmella, pulling out the classic ex card. It's not very creative to be honest. If you think you're pissing me off by saying that, you are so wrong. You see, I could care less about you guys being engaged to be married. And you know why? Because the wedding never happened. You can show off that you broke up with him because I don't care. You leaving him in my opinion was the best decision you've ever made. That's because he came to me. I found the love of my life because of you so I should be thanking you Carmella. Thank you so much for giving me such happiness I couldn't ever find anywhere else." I said as the crowd cheered and she scowled.

"And as for having someone in my corner, Seth might not be able to make it to Summerslam but I sure as hell will find someone so don't keep your hopes up." I said as I dropped the mic and Charlotte, Naomi and I left the ring, leaving the other women speechless.
