"We can't"

Abby's POV:

Colby and I haven't gotten back together yet. I was planning on asking him later. I realized how much I hurt both of us by leaving all of a sudden and that wasn't right on my part. Stephanie told me I could have my job back and I was thrilled. 

I was walking to the Shield locker room when I bumped into my sisters. 

"Oh my god!!!"

"Abby?? Is that you??!!" 

I nodded and they swept me into a hug. 

"Where did you go??" Nikki asked. 

"I broke things off with Colby because I felt I was putting him in danger but he somehow found me after I quit and left. I decided to come and we're not properly back together yet but I think we will by today."

"You could have told us Abby. We were worried sick." Brie said. 

"I know and I'm sorry. I just knew that Colby would ask you guys where I was and you guys would tell him. I thought it was best to leave without saying a word."

"So you guys are all good??" Nikki asked. 

"I mean, I think so. We kind of made out in the corridor so I'm gonna take that as a yes." I chuckled. 

"You guys are cute together." Brie said. 

"We better go. We'll let you spend time with your man." Nikki said. 

We said bye and they both left. I was walking when this time, I met Joe and Jon. 

"Abby!!!" they both said, giving me a hug. 

"Okay, you can put me down now." I said when I realized my feet weren't touching the floor. 

"Oh, sorry." Joe said, putting me down. 

"Abby, where did you go???" Jon asked. 

"I left to live in Seattle. After I broke up with Colby, I just didn't want to see him again. It....it would've hurt too much."

"You could have told us, or anyone." Joe said. 

"I know but I didn't want anyone looking for me."

"You should have seen Colby when you left. He was fixated on the idea of you coming back. He just wouldn't accept your break up and we're kinda glad he didn't otherwise, he would've have fallen apart months ago and......I.....I wouldn't be able to see my little brother like that." Jon turned around and wiped the tears that were forming in his eyes. 

"You okay Jon??" I asked. 

"Yeah, it just hurt to see Colby the way he was." he said. 

"Yeah, he was kinda going crazy. We....we....were worried for him. Oh here I go." Joe turned around, wiping his tears too. 

"I'm really sorry guys. I messed up big time when I left. I shouldn't have done that."

"No, it's not your fault. We know you were just looking out for him." Jon said. 

"Come on, let's see what he's up to."

Joe, Jon and I all made it to the Shield locker room and opened the door. I looked inside and saw Colby asleep on the couch. He looked adorable. We all tiptoed inside and I went to sit down next to him. I started tickling his sides until he started stirring and woke up. 

"What's going on??" he asked. 

"Nothing, we were just talking." Joe said. 

"So, are you guys getting back together??" Jon asked. 

"Yeah, we should, right??" I asked. 

Colby's face dropped. He looked shocked. 

"What's wrong??"

"Abby.....we can't get back together."
