Dahyun turned around curious to see who had called her name, whereas Jungkook was still staying in the same position with his back facing the couple and head down.
"Dahyun it's been so long." Dahyun was in shock, she did not know what to do, she felt her heart starting to tighten, her throat felt dry. Her hands were shaking and her head started to hurt.
"J-Jinyoung, nice to see you." She managed to say without breaking down.
"Oppa, who is she?"
"Someone that I know."
"Does he feel ashamed to say that she was his fiancé?" Jungkook scoffed to himself quietly making Dahyun turn around facing him with a questioning look.
"Dahyun I see you are not alone." Jungkook's head shot up, instantly panicking, he was hoping that if he stayed still a little longer he will be invisible, but luck was just not on his side today.
"Jungkook oppa?"
Jungkook had no choice but to turn around, meanwhile Dahyun was wondering how the latter and Jungkook know each other.
"Hana." Jungkook tried to sound enthusiastic.
"Hana, how do you know him?" Jinyoung asked.
"Oh, he is my ex- boyfriend." Dahyun looked at Jungkook and remembered when he mentioned his ex- girlfriend.
'Wow, it's a match made in hell' Dahyun thought to herself.
"Oppa is she your fri-"
"No, she is my girlfriend, in fact we are engaged." Jungkook blurted out. Dahyun gasped and her eyes widened at the sudden remark, she looked at Jungkook immediately and her eyes were telling him, 'What the fuck are you saying?!" Jungkook was sending a desperate apologetic look at her.
"Really?! Congratulations, but where are your rings?" Hana asked.
"O-Oh, we are here to buy new ones, b-because I promised Dahyun that when I had enough money I would buy her the most expensive and beautiful ring."
"Awww, Oppa that is so sweet."
"Speaking of rings me and Dahyun should get going." Jungkook grabbed her wrist and swiftly walked through the two people.
When they were far enough away from the two, Dahyun pulled her hand out of Jungkook's grasp.
"What are you doing?" she questioned him.
Jungkook rubbed the back of his neck feeling embarrassed and ashamed with himself.
"I am so sorry, I was caught in the moment and it was getting awkward back there, and I saw you feeling uncomfortable and I didn't even know what I was thinking, I really am truly sorry, I should have just said we were friends going shopping, but my mind got in the way and it turned out like this." Dahyun smiled at Jungkook's rambling. Jungkook was confused, he thought she would be mad but she was just smiling, his heart melted looking at her face.
"It's okay I understood that you felt just as uncomfortable around your ex- girlfriend so I don't mind, but engaged really? You could have just left it as girlfriend." Jungkook laughed at Dahyun's response.
"Like I said I was caught in the moment, anyway what do we do now? What if we meet them again and we don't have a ring?" Jungkook asked. Dahyun was in deep thoughts thinking of how to solve the situation.
"I know how about we just buy one of those couple rings, just in case one of us does come across them in the street or something." Jungkook suggested, Dahyun nodded in agreement and then both of them went to look for the nearest ring shop.
"Good afternoon sir and madam how may I help you today?" A smiling lady approached the two.
"Hi, we are looking for couple rings." Jungkook said.
"Do you have a specific type sir?"
"Uhm.... Just any would be fine."
"Okay, follow me sir and madam."
the lady guided them through the shop and finally stopped at a couple section.
"This is all our couple rings, feel free to browse through and then tell me if you have decided." The lady smiled at Jungkook and Dahyun and left to help the other customers.
There were so many to choose from, all of them looked beautiful, Dahyun was mesmerized by their patterns, colours and designs.
"Dahyun, would you like to choose, because I am not good at these kind stuff."
Dahyun looked at each and everyone of the rings, but one came across her attention, it was simple yet it had so much meaning to it.

"I am going to head inside first see you next time Jungkook." Before Dahyun opened the door to her house, Jungkook held her arm, Dahyun turned around, confused by his sudden action.
"You should probably put the ring on before you go." Jungkook took out the ring from the small box and held Dahyun's hand in front of him, he gently placed the ring on the fourth finger and after that he put on his.
"T-Thanks." Dahyun stuttered.
She went inside her house and quickly shut the door. She went to the living room and sat down on the couch, she felt her cheeks heating up and her heart was beating rapidly.
Thank you for being patient again, I have too many school work and I am sure a lot of you understand how I am feeling, because school is KILLING ME. Anyway I hope you enjoyed reading this chapter, to be honest I don't even know where I am going with this story but I'm sure it will get somewhere.
