The Two Knights and One Princess (Mika x Reader x Yuu)

Chapter 6

"Mika..?"

The raven-head's eyes widened. There was no way. This couldn't possibly be his Mika. He looked closer at the blonde. It was Mika... but he had blood red eyes.. Yuu immediately pulled the sword out of Mika's chest.

Mikaela groaned as he struggled to stand up, using (Name) for support as she let him put his arm around her neck and stood up. "Y-Yuu-Chan... I'm sorry." He muttered looking down at the ground. His wound soon began healing.

"Mika.. why are you apologizing?.. I've finally found you... we can finally be a family again.. we'll rescue all the orphans and-"

"No," He interrupted. As tempting as it sounded, to be with Yuu, his best friend, who he hasn't seen in years, he wouldn't let anyone take (Name). "I won't let you take, (Name). I have to protect her." He continued.

Yuu's eyes widened. Mika seemed different, really different. "Mika... I'm sorry... but I have strict orders from the Lieutenant. Bring all hostages back safely. So," Yuu closed his eyes with a sigh, pulling out his sword once again. "I'm sorry, I don't want to do this."

Mikaela's crimson orbs widened. Yuu was being serious. Once his wound had healed, he picked up his sword once again, removing his arm from (Name)'s neck. He turned back to her with a warm smile. "Stay right here, okay?"

(Name) wanted to object. But Mikaela was already walking away from her, and she couldn't do anything about it now.

"(Name)-Onii?.." She heard a little voice ask sleepily. Her eyes widened as she saw Hotaru standing at the doorway. She quickly rushed over to her.

"Hotaru-Chan, you have to stay inside, okay? I'll be inside soon." She told her trying to be as calm as she could. The little girl thankfully obliged and walked back inside.

"Take my blood." Mikaela muttered as his sword began glowing red.

"Mika, please, please don't make me do this.. You're my family, I don't want to hurt you." Yuu pleaded.

"Then, that will just make it easier for me, won't it?" He asked. He lunged at Yuu, clashing swords with him as he gritted his teeth.

"Mika, don't do this, please."

Mikaela only ignored Yuu and pulled his sword away, trying to get a swing at Yuu once more. But Yuu took it as an advantage and sliced at Mikaela's face, causing him to get a gash on his cheek.

"Stop! I don't want to hurt you again!" Yuu shouted as he watched Mika jump back.

Mikaela hissed in pain, holding his bleeding cheek. Ignoring Yuu's pleas, he rushed over to Yuu again trying to swing at him several times, only to clash swords with him each time.

"Mika! Stop!" He pleaded. Yuu saw Mika swinging at him once more, so he gritted his teeth, and swung at Mika's arm, getting a clean wound there.

Mikaela grimaced and hissed feeling him get a wound on his arm. "Take more." He muttered as he jumped back and his sword began to glow even more red.

"Y-You're not going to listen to me..?" Yuu whispered in shock.

Mikaela's blonde hair covered his crimson red eyes. Yuu could practically smell the metallic smell radiating off of Mikaela, crimson stained his clothes. He slowly walked towards Yuu. He gritted his teeth and swung at him once more.

Yuu's eyes widened, and his eyes glazed over. 'Mika, I'm sorry...' He thought and dodged, stabbing him in the chest as a tear managed to slip down his face.

"Oi! Idiot! Activate the curse! What the hell are you doing?!" Yuu heard Kimizuki yell.

He couldn't kill Mika, as he looked into his crimson, eyes, he saw his reflection. "I can't.." He muttered looking down, pulling the sword out of his chest, causing him to drop to the ground with a loud thud.

"Mikaela!" (Name) shouted rushing to his side.

Mikaela groaned as he doubled over in pain. "(N-Name)?.." He asked.

"Mikaela.. I'm here it's-" She was interrupted when she felt a pair of arms pick her up bridal style. "E-Eh?.." She looked up to see a raven-headed boy with wide emerald eyes, looking down at her with a smile.

"It's okay, now, I'm going to save you." He reassured.

"N-No! What about Mikaela?" She asked averting her gaze back over to Mikaela's limp body.

The raven-head didn't answer her. Yuu just kept walking. "We have to go back! My family is back there!"

"(Name)-Onii?.." Hotaru asked opening the front door. Her eyes widened in horror. She had seen Mikaela on the ground, looking... dead?! "Mika-Chan?!" Hotaru cried rushing to his side.

The other kids had filed out of the room after Hotaru and their faces twisted into emotions of pure shock and terror. "Mika's... dead...?" Kyosuke asked tearing up.

"N-No.. he can't be dead right?.." Rin asked.

"N-No.." Aika whispered as tears fell down her face.

Once Shinoa and Mitsuba walked over to where Yoichi and Kimizuki were, they began trying to reason with the kids to come with them.

Mitsuba leaned down in front of Kyosuke. "N-No! You killed Mika! W-Why would we ever go with you?!" He asked her trembling in fear. Mitsuba frowned.

"I know, I know this must look really bad. But I promise, you'll be safer if you come with us..." Mitsuba told him. Everyone else had the same struggle as Mitsuba had, they tried their best to get the kids to come with them.

That was until Mikaela struggled to stand up. "H-Hey.. K-Kids... Hotaru... Kyosuke... Aika... Rin..." He sputtered with a smile.

"Mika-chan?" Hotaru asked, her bottom lip trembling.

"I-I want you to go with them... p-please it's safer.." He told them.

"B-But, what about you and.. (Name)-Chan?..." Kyosuke asked.

"(Name) has already left... and I-I'll be fine.. Please... It would make me feel so much better, knowing that your safe.." He told them. The kids were on the verge of sobbing. They wanted to stay with Mikaela, and help him until he got better. But, they decided to do what Mika told them.

They all crowded around him and hugged him. "We'll miss you, Mika!" Aika whimpered as they hugged him.

"I'll miss you all too... " Mikaela exclaims smiling weakly, trying to be strong for them.

Moments later, Mikaela found himself watching the kids leave. He wanted to keep them all with him, and rescue (Name) in the process, but right now, he wasn't stable enough. But he swore, he would definitely save her. Even if it was the last thing she did. Mikaela had finally lost sight of the kids as he watched them walk off with those humans.

They were safe.
