The Two Knights and One Princess (Mika x Reader x Yuu)

Chapter 7

(Name) woke up and yawned. She looked around and to her surprise, she was in a bed. The last thing she remembered was being carried by that man, he seemed to know Mikaela. She had to find him!

"Mikaela?.." She asked and sat up.

"You're awake." A voice stated shocked. (Name) darted her head towards the source of the voice. It was that man from earlier..

"..." She didn't know how to respond to a man she barely knew. A handsome one at that.

"Sorry, you're probably really confused, let me introduce myself," He started. "I'm Yuichiro Amane."

"I'm.. (Name), (Name) (Last Name)," She replied, hesitantly. "W-Where am I?.."

"You're safe now, that's all that matters.." He told her with a reassuring smile. Trying anything to reassure the girl that she was alright now.

Like that was going to reassure her that she was in safe hands. "... Where's Mikaela..?"

The man's happy facade soon turned into a one of disappointment. "He's back at the orphanage. But he's not something w-"

"Mikaela is one of my closest friends. If something were to happen to him, I'd have to be worried. Please! I need to go to him! He's hurt!" She pleads interrupting him. The man that was called Yuichiro gave her a deadpanned look. He stared at her for a moment before sighing and stood up as he closed his eyes.

"I'll let Lieutenant Colonel Guren know you're safe." He replies, completely ignoring her pleas.

"Wait!" She was interrupted by the door being closed and she sighed in defeat. If she wanted to find Mikaela, she'd have to do it on her own. (Name) got up from the bed and turned the knob on the door, expecting it to be locked. But to her surprise, it opened just fine. She peeked her head out of the open door and looked around to see if Yuichiro was still nearby. Sure enough, he wasn't, and as quietly as she could, she crept silently into the hallway. She was about to run around the corridor when she felt a hand on her shoulder. And her eyes widened, she darted her head behind her to see Yuichiro.

"Are you always this troubling?.." He asks, a grin dancing on his lips.

"My family; I need to find them..." She responds. "I will do everything I can to find them, and Mikaela.."

Yuichiro's lips twisted into a frown as he stared down at the petite girl. "You really care about them, don't you?.." He asks. The girl nodded in response, causing the raven-head to sigh. Soon enough, the raven-head walked away leaving the girl quite confused. He noticed she wasn't following him and he stopped in his tracks and looked behind him. "You coming?" He asked with a grin.

"Huh?..."

"You want to see your family don't you?"

"Well, Yes.."

"Then come on!" He told her. The girl immediately walked up next to him, causing Yuichiro to chuckle. He lead the girl down a couple of hallways and corridors when they stopped at a door. "You're family's in there." He tells her.

(Name) turned to him and looked up at him. "Um, Thank you, Yuichiro.." She says with a smile.

"Just call me, Yuu, okay?"

"Okay, thank you, Yuu." She tells him with a laugh.

She saw the raven-head's face begin to heat up when she laughed. Was he feeling okay?

"I-I'll be out here waiting for you."

The girl nodded in response and with a sigh, she walked inside and closed the door behind her. To her surprise, everyone was playing  with their toys and having so much fun. They all stopped at what they were doing and looked towards the door.

"(Nickname)-Onii!!~" Hotaru squealed and ran up to (Name) with excitement and hugged her leg.

"H-Hotaru-Chan!" She says with a smile and hugs her tightly. Tears were brimming at the corner of (Name)'s eyes as she hugged the little girl. Soon enough all the children were crowding around her and hugging each other. They weren't crying of sadness, they were crying tears of joy. (Name) had to be strong for her kids so she wiped her tears away and sniffled.

"(Name)-Chan! We left Mika-Chan back at the orphanage! H-He's hurt and we want to go get him! B-But he told us to stay here!." Rin cried. (Name) smiled happily at Rin.

"That was very smart of you guys... I know Mikaela will be happy knowing that you kids are safe.." She tells them reassuringly.

"B-But... We wanna see Mika-Chan!" Hotaru whined.

"I know, I want to see him to... But we'll see him soon! I'm sure of it!" She replies.

One of the kids were about to say something when they were interrupted by the door being opened behind them. (Name) darted her head towards the door to see Yuu standing there. "I don't mean to interrupt... but you guys must be hungry, right?" He asks.

"Oh, um, I guess I'm a little hungry.." (Name) told him with a smile. "What about you guys..?" She asked the kids. The kids only nodded in response as they stood behind her. They were a bit scared of the raven-head. He had taken them away from Mikaela when he was hurt. How could they trust him?

"Alright follow me." He told them with a reassuring smile as he walked out of the room. The kids were hesitant to follow after the man, but when they saw (Name) beginning to follow after him, they scrambled to keep up with her.

Moments later, (Name) was in the dining room with the kids and the kids were sat at the table. She watched Yuu walk into the kitchen with an emotionless expression painted on his face. She bit her lip, and decided to follow after him. She was interrupted when she heard Hotaru.

"(Nickname)-Onii? Where are you going?" The little girl asked.

"I'll be right back okay? I promise, I'm only going to help Yuu with the food."

"Okay.." She sighed.

(Name) nodded with a warm smile and walked into the kitchen, to see Yuu getting out different things from cabinets and the refrigerator. She walked up next to him.

"Um.. need any help?" She asked, causing the raven-head to chuckle.

"You can cook?.."

"How do you think I raised those kids?.." She asked again raising her brow.

"Alright, alright, can you cut those onions and carrots for me while I cut the chicken?.."  The girl nodded and began cutting the carrots. It was silent for a while before (Name) decided to speak up.

"You seemed to know Mikaela... were you close with him..?.. O-oh! You don't have to tell me, of course! I was.. just curious."

The raven-head was silent for a while before sighing. "Mika, was my family... back in the day," He started. "We were placed in a vampire orphanage just like you were.. we had a family. But Mika... he.. h-he had this dumb plan for us to all escape.. that got everyone killed.. including himself.. that's what I thought.. until I saw him again yesterday. I just left him there.. back at the orphanage.. to die. I-I wanted to take him with me... b-but.." His voice trailed off.

(Name) glanced at him from the side and frowned. He'd been through a lot... just like Mikaela had. She placed her hand on his arm and looked up at him. "I'm sorry that happened to you... and Mikaela. None of you deserved it.. you're a good person, Yuu." She told him. She felt him tense up a little and her eyes widened realizing her hand was still on his arm. "S-Sorry!"

The whole time they cooked together, it was in silence. Once they had put the food on the plates, (Name) was about to walk into the dining room with the food when Yuu called her name.

"(Name)..?"

"Hm?" As she turned around she felt warmth come to her forehead. She looked up to see Yuu planting a kiss on her forehead. He pulled away and looked down at her with a warm smile.

"Thank you."
