Too Different?

 "You guys knew?" I suddenly felt bashful. 

"He came back bouncin' off the walls, how would we not know?" Brax chuckled.

"You did?" I looked up at the annoyed Justin.

"No way." He stood up and went to order.

"Between us," Jeremy whispered looking around. "He totally did." He winked. During the entire excursion I enjoyed myself with  Justin and his brothers. The three seemed as if they were really close. Brax was cool and more on the responsible side, Jeremy was a cute kid, you could never be bored around him. I smiled throughout the remaining time, by the time I realized it I was already home.

"See you around kid." Brax waved to me.

"See you later Luze!" Jeremy waved frantically from the back seat.

"Weird guys huh?" Justin sighed, I could tell he was embarrassed.

"They're pretty fun." I laughed, we continued walking towards the door.

"Luze look up." I heard Justin's voice. As I looked up my lips hit his.

"Ha, got you." He grinned shortly and ran off, his brace made his run look funny.

"Ha ha... he got me." I laughed nervously to myself before hurrying into the house.

"So smooth Luze, so smooth." I heard a familiar voice. I turned to the couch and seen my best friend Emily.

"Emily why are you here?!" I was shocked to see her.

"Bye, see you after work." My mom slapped my shoulder before walking out the door.

"Augh, so many people." I tried to focus on Emily after regarding my mom.

"Turns out, I was wrong about the ticket date. That was next year." She giggled nervously.

"You have tickets for next year?" The school year basically just started.

"Duh, as soon as high school's done here, me and John are journeying through a bunch of places. We have to start early too, so we might not make prom." Emily explained.

"Oh, I forgot you're graduating early." I sat down next to her.

"Don't worry, we'll be sending a ticket up to you after graduation!" Emily grinned. I unzipped and took off my boots and scarf.

"Why are we even talking about this? Who was that, your boyfriend?" She asked anxiously.

"Y-yeah." I said, it was more easy to tell her anything.

"In all my life, I've never expected for you, my baby, to get a boyfriend. He better be good to you too." Emily joked around.

"Me either." I agreed.

"Well I mean I never expected for me and John to be together this long either." Emily laughed.

"I actually seen that one coming." I laughed alongside her, it was fun being around Emily. Though she constantly reminded me of everything ahead, I always loved her company. It was too bad I couldn't be a senior forever.

"Luze, so where's the English classroom?" Emily asked as I turned off the lights. Luckily, I had a futon in my closet so she would sleep on that for now.

"It's on the second floor, I'll show you and John tomorrow." I lied down in my bed.

"Is that teacher nice?" She asked me another question, I slowly got drowsy.

"She's real nice to me so she'll love you I bet." I yawned.

"I hope so, I haven't been to school in a long time." She yawned after me.

"It'll be fine. Goodnight Emily." I said.

"Goodnight Luze." She said back to me.

"GOODNIGHT!!!" You could hear John's voice from across the hall. I laughed a little before falling asleep.

"Luze Luze wake up!" Emily bounced about excitedly.

"Huh? What? I'm up, off off." Emily was too heavy to lay down on me.

"Does this look okay?" She showed off her outfit, it looked completely normal.

"Looks just perfect." I said and began digging through my closet. I put on my ankle boots, skater skirt, and long sleeve.

"I'm going to brush my teeth and hair. Go eat breakfast and get John." I began walking towards the bathroom.

"Aye aye captain." She saluted me and skipped towards John's room.

 Today was sure to be a busy Monday. Though I'd promise to eat lunch in that old science room with Justin, I had my two friends with me. Maybe I could get Summer to tour the two to the cafeteria, John and her were related after all. I wasn't sure what I should do so I continued to act like it was a normal day. I continued to brush my teeth until a sudden thought made me spit out all of the minty gunk. If Justin is dating Ginger, how is he also dating me?
