That's how it was too. The entire winter I was working at my uncle Benson's shop or glued to my computer typing my ideas into full paragraphs. My hands wouldn't stop typing or they wouldn't stop working. It was better this way.

"Good work kiddo, shoot I fully hire you. That'll do this business some good." Uncle Ben said. It was an early spring day.

"I would, but I'd get tired eventually I'm sure." I stacked boxes.

"You don't seem tired. Why don'tcha take a break?" He offered.

"Wait 'til I'm done." I refused, there weren't many boxes left to stack or take things out of. I'd just go home afterwards.

"Alrighty. By the time this break ends, you'll be up and out." He chuckled.

"Not really, it'd become March. I'd still have Spring Break." I said. Spring break was in early April, graduation on May 30th and prom on May 27th. I didn't plan on going to prom this year anyway so the date wouldn't matter. The time moved quickly every moment I wasn't with Justin, I actually couldn't remember the last time I seen him.

"Thank god it's still April. Say, don't you have a boyfriend or something to worry about? Grads coming up soon, what to do about him?" Uncle Ben pried, but I kept my lips sealed.

"I don't have anything like that," I was sure saying 'don't wait on me' was a break-up but I wasn't very sure. "Even if I did, it wouldn't last." I put the rest of the boxes away and sat near my uncle.

"Why wouldn't it? Your cute, boy couldn't appreciate you?" He chomped onto an apple.

"Something like that." I said and my uncle sneered.

"Thought you didn't have something like that?" My face dropped, what exactly did I say? I couldn't remember but it wasn't much... I think.

"I don't. I don't I really really don't uncle, believe me." I sounded just like a liar.

"You can really tell me anything kid, but if its that personal. Oh wait, it's Anna." My mom called his phone. She was at work so why was she calling him now?

"Uncle Ben I'm just gonna go home now. Bye." I called from where I stood.

"Okay. Be careful with them cars. They ain't too safe nowadays!" He warned me like usual.

I zipped up my jacket upon walking into the cool Spring air. He always talked about cars for some reason, it was weird. Like a character I had in a story before, was he a mechanic? I tried to think, and I eventually stopped paying attention. A loud honk from a truck caught my attention and I flung myself backwards into a bush upon hearing it.

"What?" I looked up and the car sped down the street, past the red light. "Are you serious?" I groaned even though uncle Ben just warned me. Ten minutes after a warning and I nearly get hit by a car.

"Hey, are you okay? That looked rough." Someone held their hand out to me.

"Yeah, I'm fine. That was a-" I looked at the person and it was Justin. His hand was still warm.

"Can you stand Luze?" I was going to say I could, but it hurt to stand.

"I can stand." I looked away from him, but allowed him to help me stand up. I was too embarrassed to talk to him, my face burned.

"Are you sure, I'll take you back home if you need." He offered, his truck was nearby.

"I'll be okay, I'm sure." My attempt at walking failed, I limped with every step I took.

"Are you sure? I'll take you to the hospital." He offered again, this wasn't right. At a time like this I couldn't hate him. At any time I couldn't hate him... but why couldn't I answer his simple questions.

"Alley-oop." He wrapped my arm around his tall shoulder and helped me to his car. I couldn't tell if he was taking me to the hospital or to my home anymore. I was too flustered to think about it.

"T-thanks." I said quietly and he began to drive.
