"Wah. I'm sleepy." I sighed waking up the next morning.
"No! Luze don't get sick again!" Emily jumped about as we walked to the school.
"You really have too much energy, all I said was I was tired. Don't act as if I'm gonna die. " I giggled at her.
"You almost did die." She puffed up her cheeks and I could only laugh at her.
"Almost, almost." I didn't want to bring back up any unwanted memories so I quickly changed the subject afterwards.
"Oh yeah, what's with that guy? Boyfriend or something?" John asked, and Emily laughed hysterically.
"Are you serious? Did you not know?" Emily's laughed echoed as I tried my hardest not to laugh.
"If you wouldn't tell me... I wouldn't know. " John sulked before Emily pounced on him, she held on tightly to his arm as we continued walking to school.
"Hey Luze. Emily. John." Hunter stopped his motorbike at the sight of us. Summer was sitting in the back seat.
"Hey guys." She took off the helmet and wisps of curls fell on her face.
"Nice hair." I said and she smiled with a "thanks".
"Luze you weren't there but Ms. Rogers isn't gonna be here today. Thank god right?" Hunter said, he slowed his motorbike to match our speed.
"Really? Freedom!" I smiled, no one really liked Ms. Rogers.
"Wah! Luze hi!" I felt a body jump onto my back and I tipped forward trying to regain my balance. I turned to see it was Jeremy.
"Oh hey Jeremy. What are you doing here?" He got off my back and took a hold of my hands.
"Going to school?" He looked at me before tipping his head to the side.
"Really? What school do you go to?" I asked.
"We go to the same school? I'm a freshman!" He let go of my hands and put his thumbs up, it was surprising I never knew. I've never seen him either.
"Naturally you wouldn't have seen me. I've been doing some out of school stuff, it's my first day today basically." Jeremy walked ahead of us.
"Really? Oh my god," I giggled. "Remember when we were freshmen?" I started laughing.
"All of that stupid stuff we got into?" Summer laughed thinking about it.
"We started a turf war and made t-shirts." Hunter laughed along with us.
"I think she sent a t-shirt. Didn't it say 'Reject' on the front and have your name on the back?" Emily asked.
"Yeah, I think I still have mines. My name had a... star or butterfly... I can't remember." Jeremy looked at me confused.
"Oh yeah, Jeremy just got here so he doesn't really get the "rules" of the school." Summer said.
"If you want to hang with us, they'll label you a reject and most Populars tend to stay away from you." Hunter tried to explain.
"For instance your brother's a Pop, a Popular, they "rule" the school or whatever. People like us would ruin their reputation so they act like superiors." I wanted to explain.
"But... aren't you guys dating?" Jeremy asked getting a wide eye from Summer.
"Dating?" She looked at me suspicious.
"That's a good story. But as I said Pops are more like people you'd want to know and want to be or something like that. Apparently they don't like our weird stuff." I told Jeremy, though it didn't sound very nice it was the best way to explain.
"So... I can talk with you guys or be like my brother?" He asked.
"You can also be a freak and be apart of some other group. But trust me, they're way weirder." Summer said and we entered the school's campus.
"If I'm a reject, can I get a t-shirt too?" Jeremy grinned brightly.
"Sure, but no matter what they say being a reject's the best." Summer winked at him before Hunter sped up to lock his motorbike in the parking lot.
"Sure." I smiled at him.
"Why do I feel so left out of this conversation?" John hung his head and Emily swayed back and forth between us.
"Oh, you should've said something." I tapped their backs and we waited on Summer and Hunter to come to the front of the school.
"What lunch do you have?" I asked Jeremy.
"Second lunch." He said.
"Wanna eat lunch with us then?" I asked, lucky for us we all had second lunch. It was a really strange coincidence.
"Okay!" He smiled then dashed off into the building.
"Cute kid, huh? So your friends with your boyfriend's brother?" Emily nudged me making a face.
"Stop being so weird." I laughed at her.
"Fine," She pouted then grinned. "But today you have to show me to all my classes." She grabbed onto my arm. John grabbed onto my other arm.
"Oh no," I laughed. "I've been surrounded." They really had too much energy for today.
