"Oh my god." I sighed and walked down stairs, what was going to do?

"Oh my god, what?" Emily poked her head into the bathroom.

"Don't worry about it," I grinned. "It's nothing." I put my tooth brush back.

As we got to school I walked nervously through the halls, what if Ginger found out? The thoughts wouldn't stop filling my head, it made my stomach churn painfully. Would Ginger be mad, I continued to think about what I would do after. Then I realized, why do I even care? Why was I worrying about Ginger? All I have to do is pretend like I don't realize it-

"And continue my ways." I whispered to myself.

"Continue your ways?" Emily looked at me confused. I hadn't realized I said that aloud.

"It's um, for a story." I laughed nervously and pulled out my notebook.

"What kind? I wanna help." She swiped my notebook out of my hand. I seen a glimpse of Ginger glaring at me as she walked with other cheerleaders.

"I'm going to the bathroom, can you show them to class?" I took back my notebook.

"Sure thing." Summer assured me and I shuffled off to the restroom.

"God, why am I so nervous? It's not like something bad is going to happen right? It's not, I'm sure. I just have to wait and see, just pretend. Just pretend...." I whispered to reassure myself.

I heard the bathroom doors open, I lifted my feet onto the toilet.

"I just can't believe her, you know?" A conversation continued.

"I bet he's just dating her cause he feels sorry for her." Another voice continued the conversation.

"I mean that is what he said." The words hit me like a gun to a chest, they must have been talking about me. I kept hoping they weren't.

"Poor Justin, huh?" The voice said. The girls conversing laughed and left the bathroom. I couldn't bring myself to leave until after the bell rung many minutes later.

"Are you okay? You're late." The teacher was concerned.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I sat next to my friends.

"Alright. Let's get started." The teacher stood up from her desk and began her lesson.

"Are you sure your okay?" Emily whispered into my ear.

"I'm fine." I whispered back pulling out my notebook.

The words my English teacher spoke didn't come through to me. I began to scribble meaningless feelings and thoughtless words. It may have even been pointless since I'd be graduating early, not having to test at all this year. I tapped the pencil at my notebook's page, flipped to a blank one and began writing.

"She was an average person like anyone else, well... at least for a monster. Every year, ONLY on a Halloween week end, she had many monster relatives who visited. Though she thought she was normal, one Halloween event she learned it was different. She was a vampire... and it was dangerous to be one..." I chuckled envisioning the writing.

"What's so funny Ms. Amberyte?" My teacher smiled at me.

"Nothing, can I go to the nurse?" I asked.

"Are you okay?" She immediately got concerned.

"I'm not feeling the best at the moment, that's all." I told her.

"Alright. You should probably get an escort," She looked across the classroom. "In case you get dizzy." The teacher paused to look at some one.

"I'll take her." I heard Justin's voice, I knew we had English together but it was best to pretend we didn't.

"Just the person I was thinking of." The teacher sent us off to the nurse's office.

"You feeling okay?" Justin asked me.

"Yeah, just dizzy." I placed my hand on my forehead, it was cold. Justin placed his hand over my hand.

"That's burning hot. Are you sick?" Justin asked.

"No, I'm fine." I was constantly sick as a child. Some days I would be sick and wouldn't know, so I continued to pretend I was fine.

"Welp, get some rest. Hopefully you'll be better by the time we meet up in the class room." He smiled and left me in the nurses office.

"What a lousy nurse." I groaned, she was barely in her office.

I allowed myself onto the bed in the office and lied there for a little while before dozing off. I couldn't sleep well and woke up shortly after, though it appeared two hours passed. The nurse wasn't in her office, but there was a bowl next to me. I smiled at it, put it away, and the bell rung. It initiated lunch time, but how was I going to face Justin?

Quietly, I trudged to the old classroom. Justin was waiting there with a smile on his face, like usual. I suddenly felt uneasy, like someone was watching me.

"Hey." He seen me and waved his lunch.

"Hi." I measly smiled and walked up to him.

"Brax made sandwiches and insisted we both ate him. He's weird right?" He laughed.

"Yeah weird." I stared blankly at the sandwiches.

"What's up Luze Lu? You seem down and groggy." He wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

"It's nothing." I fibbed.

"You sure." Justin pryed.

"Do you like Ginger?" I blurted out, I couldn't help my question.

"Yeah, I love her." Justin said without hesitation.

I felt anxious over those words, he never said he loved me, did he? I couldn't remember. It seemed like he was being completely serious, so what would that really make me?
