"Hi you guys!" Jeremy quickly waked to our sides during lunch, Ginger glared at him walking to the table.
"Who's the kid another freak?" She took a seat, making a face.
"Oh hey Jeremy, started today?" Justin walked over. "You could've said something and I would've given you a ride this morning." He took the seat next to Jeremy, which was next to me.
"You know this guy?" Mark walked over, but the walked back off to get himself a chair.
"Yeah, its my younger brother." Justin said and Ginger immediately cleaned up her act.
"Aw really, he's so cute I had a feeling that he was. Your name's Jeremy, right?" She placed her chin on her hands.
"Luze, I don't like her." He squinted and backed up onto me.
"That's Ginger. You might not like her, but don't be mean. She means well." I hoped I didn't tell a lie.
"Hi." He stared at her before she turned her head.
"If you hang out with weirdos like them, you won't ever become cool like Justin here." She said loudly, I knew she wanted us to hear this.
"Exactly Jeremy, you won't ever become cold to people and you'll have plenty enough friends. I think it is best to hang out with us." Summer retaliated.
"Okay." Jeremy smiled. After the bell rang everyone crowded into the lunch room and began getting their lunches.
"Luze, that kid really likes you to be Justin's brother." Mark tugged at my arm because we got stuck in line by each other.
"Um.. I guess?" I didn't know what I was supposed to say, we never talked before so it was strange for him to talk to me.
"You know you should really stop messing with kids that could be of use to us. You and that kid don't suit each other one bit, reject." And I remembered why anyone like him would ever talk to us.
It was because we were different. It was because we liked different things, or we had different skills. It was because we talked different or because we looked different. We are all human so I never really got why we were classified so different, but this was the way it was.
"Luze, is that all you're gonna eat? You're gonna get hungry if all you eat is an apple." Jeremy said pointing his fork at the core of my apple.
"I didn't really have much of an appetite today," I lied, the words just made my stomach drop to the point where I couldn't eat. "I'll be fine for now." I said.
"If you say so." He began spooning school food into his mouth once more. I looked around the table, it was too quiet on my end for my liking.
I got a bright idea and took out my phone. I went on my uncle's website, and began to custom make a t-shirt. If I chose express pick-up, I could get it by the time school was over and I made my way over to my uncle's shop.
"What's that?" Jeremy looked down on my phone, bringing Emily's attention to my phone as well.
"Making shirts." I looked at everyone, white t-shirts would be best and I'd put color on the word "Reject".
"Do I get one too?" Jeremy asked excited, and Emily asked too. It brought John, Summer, and Hunter over to where I was sitting.
"Of course." I figured orange would be best on him, so I colored the word orange putting a sword by his name.
"Ah, I want one too. I like that blue color." Emily pointed at my phone and Ginger cleared her throat.
"Looks like its nerd fest over there. Probably getting limited edition junk, can't even hide the facts that they're freaks." She scoffed and Mark snorted at her remarks.
"Don't." I stopped Summer before she made her remarks, I added a few words to the t-shirt.
"We're the best?" Hunter looked under the words.
"It's nice right?" I made six t-shirts, added our names, then ordered them. "I'll get them after school then drop them off. Is that good?" I asked.
"We can wait at your place so you don't have to run around too much, if you need to you can use my bike too." Hunter suggested.
"It's okay, but thanks. Looks like I'll meet up with you guys at my place after I get them." I said and put my phone away.
"You got it." Hunter said and everyone raced back to their seats.
"It'll look cool, like this right?" John showed me a drawing of a group of kids wearing the same t-shirt.
"How did you draw that so fast?" I looked at his notebook surprised.
"Magic hands." Emily giggled.
"Luze's got competition." Summer grinned.
"But it really does look good, it'll definitely look cool like this." I smiled.
"Awesome." John grinned back and we waited for lunch to pass, but this time we enjoyed ourselves this time.
