"Ah, I wish they were here." I sighed walking through the quiet house. It was already past noon, when I got back home from the airport I fell asleep as soon as I hit the bed. I turned the shower on, the only noise you could hear.
"Luze! Luze?!" I heard someone knock on the door as soon as I stepped out the shower.
"Francis can you get that?" I yelled down to him, hopefully he would wake up and open the door.
"Who the heck are you?" A concerned voice ask and I hurriedly put on a t-shirt and jeans.
"That's just Francis. Just Francis." I said loudly so they wouldn't interrogate him any further before I got down the stairs.
"You just shower?" It was Hunter.
"Yeah, what's up?" I took the shower cap off of my hair, I didn't want to damage it by washing it twice today.
"You still going to that dance?" He asked.
"Yeah, why?" I asked, Francis walked to the other room to get dressed."Summer and I got a job, I don't think its best to go to Prom by yourself." He sounded like he didn't want to go.
"Oh no, its too late. We've got an appointment that we need to head to, so if you got take the negativity elsewhere?" Francis popped up from the other room.
"Oh wow." I chuckled.
"Okay... I just wanted to tell you in advance, so it's completely fine to change your mind." He started to walk out the door.
"That kid's definitely going, he just doesn't want to be embarrassed." He slipped on his shoes and waited for me to put on mines so we could get my nails done. It was going to be a long schedule today.
After I get my nails done, we would rush to Francis' aunt so she could come help with my make up. Then we would go to my place, I'd make the two dinner, get my hair and makeup done. Put on my dress, heels, and wait for my uncle to take me, so I could take pictures. Somehow we should be able to make it in a good enough timely matter to get there not early but not too late either.
"He's taking a while, he knows it starts at five right?" Francis asked.
"Of course he knows. It's only five fifteen," I said then heard a honk from outside. "There he is now. See you guys and thanks a ton." I smiled slipping my heels back on.
They were a bit wobbly but they matched perfectly with the 'Reject' necklace and red baby doll prom dress I had on. The two waved at me, Francis with a wink, and I walked out to my uncle who astonished to see my transformation.
"Who are you? Where's Luze?" He joked.
"I'm Luze duh." I laughed.
"You look just wow. What happened?" He asked pulling his phone out.
"Let's say a little game of discreet revenge." I grinned and posed for a picture. Then we both hurried into the car, my uncle tossing his cellphone at me which I couldn't resist but to mess around with.
"On the way to prom~! Who looks better?" I recorded the drive, I giggled as he said 'me' and turned the music up on me. So I started to lip-sync on the camera until I couldn't take anymore dorkiness, turned the camera off, and waited until we got to the school.
"We're here. Have fun." He smiled and my heart suddenly dropped.
"Thanks." I walked out of the car and I trembled with nervousness. I really hope I didn't make a fool of myself by coming here.
"'Luze?!" A shocked but high voice came from behind me.
"Hm? Jeremy? What are you doing here?" I asked, he stared at me.
"I'm getting tickets. Oh, have yours? I'll take it now for you." He seemed a bit flustered as he spoke to me.
"Oh thanks," I smiled. "I'm afraid I'm a huge dork trying to show out." I joked.
"Not at all, you look beautiful. Enjoy yourself." He grinned and allowed me inside.
"Thanks." I was a little embarrassed to be called beautiful, but it definitely boosted my esteem.
I walked in with no sense with where I was supposed to be going. Looking straight-ahead there a floor full of dancing people, it wouldn't be hard to try and join in from there. Especially considering I came in a bit late.
"Luze? Is that you?" I heard another voice call out to me. It was a girl from Ginger's entourage.
"Umm yeah?" I looked at her confused, she was really talking to me.
"Oh great, then you can hold these. Give these to the photo booth guy, you have nothing better to do right reject?" She flashed a fake smile at me, handed me photo paper, and shoved me towards the direction of the guy.
"Here you go." I said grouchily, he took them.
"Thanks. L-luze?!" I took a look at him and it was Hunter.
"Hunter?! Is this what you meant by job?" I began to tease him.
"Shut up, I joined the committee to help Jeremy and Summer is no where to be found." He said and a couple walked up to get their picture taken.
"Really? I'll look for her then I guess." I said, I might as well help him out.
"Thanks a bunch," He patted my shoulder. "Smile." He focused his attention to the couple.
"Summer...Summer...Summer... Where would she be?" I looked over the ledge in the crowd. I spotted many gamers, and drama clubs, a few nerds too. Then I spotted the Pops, Ginger was happily talking to Justin, and Mark was calling over someone.
"Ah!" I looked over at the person, he called over Summer, but why?
