After a couple more hours of walking, Cory stopped, making the group stop with him.
"Maybe we should take a break for the day... it's starting to get dark." He pointed to the sun, which was starting to set. It made the sky no longer completely blue, but with some orange and yellow mixed in with it. The group agreed and stared setting up a camp, Nick making a fire and Cory handing out rations like before. Adam layed back and looked up at that sky as splashes of color changed the sky, the blue fading and splashes of pink, orange, yellow, and red appeared. It  looked beautiful, but Adam didn't even care. He was still thinking about how the hell he could fix this situation between him and Cory.

After a few minutes of thinking, he sat up when he had an idea. He looked around the group to see them relaxing and decided that it would be best if he did it when the group was going to go to sleep. He smiled. 'Maybe this can fix it....' he thought. He hoped that it would, it seemed like it was the only option now.

After about an hour, most of the group was asleep, except for Adam and Cory. The sky was starting to turn darker and the moon and stars started to appear. Adam smiled a little and got up. Cory, who was the only other one awake, looked at him confused.
"And where are you going?" He asked, still sounding a little bit annoyed at Adam.
"Well, I was thinking that we could talk about... what happened... but we need to go somewhere private."
Cory sighed and got up, following Adam.
"It better not be too far...." he whispered under his breath loud enough for Adam who hear.
He chuckled and nodded. "It ain't far, trust me."

Eventually, they got far away enough from the camp and went behind a small hill so that no one in the camp could spy on them.
Cory sighed. "What is it, Adam?" He said sassily.
Adam smiled slightly and sat down, looking up at the night sky. Cory soon sat next to him, waiting for the other to say something.

Adam looked straight at Cory and blushed slightly, not trying to hide it anymore. The fire feeling sparked again, even brighter then before.
"Look.... I'm sorry about what happened yesterday... I couldn't control myself.... I've been having this feeling around you since the day we got the group together and well... maybe even before then, when I met you. Like I said a long time ago, you gave me a new purpose in my life, and I understand why the hell I'm feeling this.... Cory," he blushed more and tried to say his next words as perfectly as he could without nervousness taking control of him. "I... I love you." He blushed dark red and looked at Cory, who was blushing like crazy as well.

Cory stayed silent for a few minutes and Adam was just about to get up and leave, thinking he got rejected, but then a smile spread across Cory's face.
   "Heh.. I love you too."

Adam almost screamed at how happy he was. He hugged Cory and held him close. He pulled back from the hug slightly and kissed Cory. The smaller male was surprised but slowly sank into the kiss.
After a few moments they pulled back, gasping for air. Adam smirked slightly and Cory smiled, cuddling close to Adam.

"Wait..." Cory said all of a sudden breaking the silence around them.
"What is it?" Adam asked, his voiced laced with love and kindness.
"We... we can't tell the others... not yet anyways." Adam looked at Cory confused, about to ask why but he answered him before he could say anything.
"Wouldn't it be a little bit awkward if the others knew?"

Adam thought about it for a minute then nodded slightly. "Ok, fine. We'll keep this a secret for now, until you feel comfortable with telling the group." Cory smiled and nodded.
  "Thanks for understanding."
"You're welcome." Adam smiled back and kissed the top of Cory's head.

After about an hour of them sitting there, snuggled against each other, they got up and started walking back to the camp, happy to see everything was in the way it should be and the group was sleeping peacefully. The two decided to stay up and watch over the camp that night.
