Olivia woke early, she couldnt really sleep instead she got out of bed, washed, dressed and finished her science homework, it was unlike her to do so but she felt in the mood, she wouldnt tell the girls she had done it and with them not being in her class they needn't know. Dressing casually again she opted for shorts and a band tee with her converses.
She could feel her parents eyes on her as she went downstairs "baby, everything alright?" Her mother asked after subtle encouragement from her husband, Olivia was beginning to permanently look fed up with her eyes rolled "why wouldnt I be?" She asked with a tone, her parents looked to eachother and then to her "your outfit? Darling do you need Daddy to buy you new stuff?" Her mother replied expressing worry heading over to her daughter and rubbing her shoulders. "Im just wanting to be comfortable right now" Olivia whispered in reply before attempting to turn on her heels but her mother stopped her and pulled her into the living room "oh my god sweetie you aren't are you?!" She whispered pointing to Olivia's stomach "oh god mother no! I just dont want to be so Paris Hilton like all the time!" Olivia recoiled her mother sighed and pulled her into a hug "i'll speak to Daddy see if he can up your allowance and you can have a a new wardrobe" she offered, making Olivia sigh, wasnt anyone listening to her?
"Hellooo anyone home?" TDog spoke waving his hand in front of Olivia's face as she poked aimlessly at her lunch "sorry" she muttered and listened to the group talk and laugh about the goings on of the night before, Shane having his head on the table the whole time. "Who is up for skipping classes today?" Shane groaned rubbing his eyes, before Olivia could shoot him down for what a stupid idea it was the group all piped up claiming it was "the best idea ever" and grabbed their bags and headed out the canteen "you coming princess?" Shane asked looking back to Olivia who was back to poking her salad "sure why not?" She replied pushing her salad away and grabbing her bag, she didnt want to be left out "me and you can always go back to mine and have fun" Shane whispered in her ear. That was not what she had in mind.
As they strolled through the car park she laughed at Lori and Andrea fighting over who would be in the front of Rick's truck with Lori claiming 'girlfriend rights' "or we could fool around in the back seat of that sweet looking Porsche of yours?" Shane suggested taking Olivia's attention back to him. "Is that all you think about?" She teased playfully pushing him, she watched how his face went from laughing to resentment and she wondered why until she noticed he had clapped eyes on Daryl walking through the gates "leave it will you he isnt hurting anyone is he?" Olivia warned him turning his face to hers "that guy, that guy just pisses me off" he laid out his reasons to which Olivia scoffed "why? You started on him" showing impatience with him on her face. Shane took his arm from around her neck and made a point of walking up ahead from her "child" she muttered.
"Hey" Daryl whispered, smiling as he walked past Olivia "Hi" she smiled back stopping to talk for him "you not coming to class?" He asked standing awkwardly clearly trying to make conversation, all of a sudden she felt guilty about skipping, what would he think of her? Why did she care what he might think of her? "Er, actually some of us are skipping today, do you, do you wanna come with?" She asked instantly regretting being so forward in a sense, They both looked down to her friends who were climbing into Rick's truck while Shane stood arms folded leaning on Olivia's whilst glaring their way "yea im down, i didnt do my homework anyway" Daryl replied taking Olivia's attention back to him "the ape wont mind?" He asked mockingly waving his way making Olivia bat his hand down giggling "if you do that he might" she teased motioning him to follow her.
Shane looked as if he had barely blinked the whole time Olivia and Daryl walked down to the car, his eyes piercing through Daryl as if they were lasers. Standing at the car became awkward, Shane didnt avert his glare and Daryl looked nervous standing with his hands in his pockets not really sure what to do with all the group looking to him and Olivia confused, until Rick broke the silence "Daryl is it? Wanna jump in here? Thats too girly that car." He offered making a joke and nodding Daryl over, Lori and Andrea hopped into Olivia's car followed by a grumpy looking Shane who slumped in the back seat. "Meet you guys there" Olivia smiled waving Rick, TDog and Daryl off.
Starting her car Olivia sensed the elephant and looked to Lori "he just needs some friends" she whispered "being new and all must suck when you dont know anyone" she added justifying her actions. Andrea lent forward from the back seat "i thought we didnt let people in our group? You know, there are rules" she mentioned sounding worried, reminding Olivia of the stupid rule she herself made up in tenth grade that there were to be no outsiders at all and no one is allowed other friends. "Well we are more mature now, besides he seems nice in Science" she told her, Andrea still looked confused by the idea but seemed to accept it. Looking in her rear view mirror she clocked eyes with Shane, he did not seem impressed, she decided not to see if he was alright, it was evident he wasnt but she felt he didnt know Daryl enough to judge.
As they arrived at The Point Rick cranked up his stereo and Andrea and TDog began rolling two joints of cannabis for them to enjoy, Lori laid out a blanket and took off her top leaving her bra on to sunbathe and Daryl stood awkwardly and lit a cigarette up "can i have one?" Olivia asked and he handed her the lit one and took another for himself "we just sort of hang here, smoke and drink and stuff" she explained seeing by his reaction if he was into it "i dont really smoke the weed but you can have some if you want?" She added loud enough for TDog to hear and he offered Daryl a toke which he declined "So Daryl, you liking Woodbury High so far?" TDog asked gaining a grateful smile from Olivia "its ok" Daryl shrugged "same as any other school really" he added as TDog and Andrea listened "same people in every school" he remarked as Shane barged past him to walk down to Rick and Lori. Olivia began thinking inviting him wasnt such a good idea, there was quite some tension.
Leaving Daryl with TDog and Andrea who seemed to be engaging with him, Olivia walked to Shane and the others "cant you just be nice to him? He's not that bad" she spoke defending him causing Rick to interject "yea man, he really isnt, lighten up" Shane reluctantly nodded "i'll be alright when those lips of yours are on mine" he quipped smirking to Olivia "really? Cant we just hang?" She sighed making sure to check over to see if Daryl was okay and he seemed to be, laughing away with TDog who was showing him stuff on his phone. "Guys! Come down here!" Olivia chirped waving the trio down to join them, rolling her eyes as Shane sighed loud enough to make his point clear "stop it" she spoke through gritted teeth while holding a smile "c'mon the guys white trash, he wont fit in" Shane spat causing Daryl's expression to change "i should of known" Daryl snapped shaking his head. Olivia was confused as were the others " 'cause i live in a trailer I cant possibly be good enough for you Beverly Hills types! Im outta here!" He finished raising his hand in the air in defeat, Olivia paced after him as she heard Shane laugh "no I never told them I swear! I promise, Shane is just--" she spoke trying to stop him leaving but Daryl interrupted her "when you gave me a ride I thought you were different to the stereotypes!" He seemed upset he had been embarrassed like this and felt ganged up on "wait, you gave this douchebag a ride? When?!" Shane raised his voice glaring at the pair.
