Thirty-Three

Olivia hadnt seen Daryl since she got back to school with Rick. They had separate classes today and right now Olivia was stretching for cheer practice with Lori. "I dont think this is for me anymore" Olivia spoke as she stretched her calf mucsles on the bench whilst Lori worked on her arms " I know right I cant wait to get out of this dump of a school" Lori replied and Olivia smiled at her friend " no I dont mean school, I mean this. Cheerleading" she explained herself more and braced herself for Lori's reaction. "Wait, What?" Lori shook her head in disbelief at her ears "I've never liked being a cheerleader, Its just not me, not anymore anyway" she replied sounding deflated Lori still looked confused "Well you made a damn good job of getting head cheerleader for someone who's heart was never in it" she sort of snapped in reply, Olivia knew her and Andrea always wanted the coveted 'Head' spot, to them Cheerleading was life, but with the group the way it was now was it that important? The jock was off the rails, one of the cheerleaders was knocked up by him, the head cheerleader was living in a trailer dare she go on?

"If I leave you will get it girl, you know that" Olivia assured her and the two looked at the other members of the squad and they both nodded in agreement that even when Andrea wasnt pregnant Lori was 100% Olivia's second in command. "Well can you at least leave after the big game on next month? I cant come up with a new cheer and a new cheer member in that time, not if I want us to do well" Lori asked, Olivia accepted that offer, She could easily leave now but Lori had a point, too much would change if she left now.

The girls began in their position and Olivia headed the group as they practiced their chants. The creak of the gymnasium door disracted them from their moves, it was Andrea and she had a small bump forming now and Olivia knew it must of been obvious as she overhead Jessie and Karen, two other members of the cheer team mention it to eachother. Olivia narrowed her eyes as Andrea walked over to her, this was the last thing she needed right now. "You're late" she couldnt help but snap as she stood poised, pom pom held high "Can we talk?" Andrea asked quietly. "Fine" Olivia responded discarding her pom poms onto the floor and walking out the gymnasium.

She could hear Lori take over where Olivia had left of and she knew in her heart Lori was right for the job.

The sun hit their faces as they quietly closed the gym doors behind them, looking down to the field she could see Rick, T and Shane playing football. Anger filled her insides and Olivia couldnt resist snapping again "What do you want?" she asked showing impatience. Andrea kicked stones where they stood as she looked nervous, she tried to pose her books across her stomach in order to hide it more. "I just wanted to speak to you, you are still talking to Shane so why cant you speak to me?" Andrea mumbld out and Olivia shook her head in frustration "I'm not speaking to Shane I havent even seen him and besides right now I have more on my plate than you two creating life together at The Point" She replied narrowing her eyes "How dare you come here and accuse me of not playing fair and talking to Shane and not you! You had the god damned cheek to screw my boyfriend behind my back! Nevermind him being my boyfriend he would screw anything insight so dont be flattered in any way!" Olivia couldnt help herself, this was her chance to let all her anger out over everything, her parents, the baby and Shane.

Andrea had her head bowed, all Olivia wanted was to embrace her friend and tell her it would all be okay but she wasnt sure she could or even promise that. "I dont want to know who started it, or how many times it was all I want is an apology. a genuine one. Right now you two are only sorry you got caught out." Olivia sighed leaning agaisnt the wall, she looked down to the guys as they played and she could see Andrea was glancing their way too "He isnt ready to be a father Andrea, he isnt mature enough for anything right now" Olivia warned her "I know i'll be on my own with the baby" Andrea admitted making Olivia take her gaze back onto her "You wont be on your own" She assured her and Andrea pulled a 'yea right' face "I'll be there" Olivia added giving her friend a weary smile "I cant promise if Lori will, she is pretty pissed at you still but I'll be there" Andrea looked relived at Olivia's words "Olivia, I.."Andrea tried to speak but Olivia quickly cut her off "You and Shane happened, and now you are pregnant you just have to make do with the bed you made." Olivia pulled Andrea into a hug and she could tell Andrea had needed it for so long as she didnt want to let go, Olivia was disappointed in her friend's betrayal but there was nothing she could do to change that, she just had to be there for her friend.
