With the money Daryl had put away for a dress for Olivia she was just short of having enough to buy the one she wanted, but she still had time to get it. It took a lot to get Daryl tux shopping but after she promised him she would go skinny dipping at the beach for him he eventually agreed, it paid off too, he looked gorgeous in a tux. They just needed the sizes and measurements for him in order to rent on at a much more affordable price.

Right now Olivia was sat bored in Maths, this was a class the whole group were a part of, even Shane and Andrea too. Olivia sat at the back trying to not fall asleep on Daryl who was passing childish drawings across to Rick who was giving the game away with his chuckling.

An announcement came over the speaker making the teacher stop talking. "Attention students, the nominees for Prom King and Queen are as follows" the voice paused for effect. "Rick Grimes and Lori Stewart" "Karen Fisher and Tyrese Dawson" and "Daryl Dixon and Olivia Blake" after the nominations were read the class applauded for the nominess and the classes next door and opposite them could be heard too. Lori was estatic her and Rick had been nominated, it was usually them who got nominated but Daryl seemed to of taken Shane's spot with Olivia. T raised his hand to give Daryl a high five, he seemed uncomfortable to of been chosen "I wasnt expecting that" she whispered kissing his cheek "Not sure I can rent my tux now" he said half smiling, this was not Daryl's scene at all.

Shane turned on his seat to give Olivia a 'welldone' wink and nodded to Daryl to show his happiness for him.

Lori was excited and giddy all day, she had always wanted to win but every year Olivia got it, there was a running joke that no one should be nominated bar Olivia as she always won.

"I hope you guys get it" Olivia smiled as the group shared a smoke on the field. She knew it wasnt going to Daryl's thing being centre of attention and she didnt need the title anymore, she was done with it. In fact she was surprised her and Daryl were nominated, apart from hand holding they were a pretty low key couple at school.

"You have to get that dress now, if you win can you imagine being in that dress?" Lori exclaimed encouraging her friend, it made Olivia smile as she revealed "Daryl has been saving hard for me to get it and im not that far away from getting it" she beamed. "no doubt what you are after after prom night" T jokingly nudged Daryl's motives making him laugh.

"So T, you got a date?" Rick asked trying to break the conversation from dresses and accessories to something less girly, sort of. T shrugged "Nah" T was the guy who was never bothered about a date, he could have fun being the fifth wheel and he didnt care, he usually kept Andrea company on the rare occasion she didnt have one. "Was thinking of asking Andrea, as a friend, bet no one has asked her" he added stating the obvious, the group nodded she certainly would be bottom of any potential date's list now with her bump.

However Shane was not without dates, through the grape vine Olivia had been told he had two girls desperate for him to take them, she just wasnt sure they knew he didnt have a prom King nomination so their chances of a crown were going to be very slim.

The day of prom was finally here, Daryl was pleased to get this day out of the way, after two weeks of the school voting for their king and queen tonight was when they found out who had the crown. Daryl didnt want it, he didnt need a label to be anything but deep down Olivia wanted it, to her it wasnt like the years before where she only got it because Shane scared most of the male population in Woodbury High and every single female wanted to be her. It went with being the most sought after couple in the school, but now it was different, she wanted it to show off her boyfriend, he was her king and he deserved the crown.

Daryl grunted when he nearly tripped over Olivia's curling iron wire, if it wasnt the wire he was avoiding it was the array of makeup she had strewn across the floor and dont get him started on the dozen shoes she had on the bed seeing if they would go with her dress.
