Twenty-Five

Olivia woke to a message from her mother,
Hi honey, weather is lovely here, will be home by dinner on Sunday. Daddy has added money in your account for your allowance. Love you xx

Quickly checking her online account she knew the money transferred was her father's 'sorry' money for not including her on the vacation. Not that she would of wanted to of gone and spent it with him anyway. She had a better plan for that money anyway.

After her and Daryl had got up, eaten and showered they began raiding her parents alcohol selection for the evenings events. Knowing they had a large collection they would never notice much missing.

"Wont the maid tell your dad what we are doing later?" Daryl asked as the maid walked past the pair with the hoover. Olivia without looking at Daryl continued to rummage in the alcohol cabinet "Joan is super cool, I had a party last year for the football game when my parents were in the Maldives and as long as the house is pretty tidy when everyone leaves she doesnt mind. My dad doesnt even know my mom tips her at Christmas" she replied.

Olivia's phone buzzed all day with Lori sending her picture of her suggested outfits, Andrea changing her mind about coming or not and then T sending playlist after playlist over.

"Rick asked if the football team are coming" Olivia sighed making Daryl look to her "I said just the group but I know him saying that means he clearly put his foot in and asked" she rolled her eyes "I guess I should invite the rest of the cheer squad. But thats it" she added firmly. Daryl nodded as he chewed his thumb "what about Shane?" He asked. Olivia pursed her lips as she thought "i guess, he is part of the team, and we did agree to not let us affect the group." She replied. She didnt particularly want him there but it would be unfair to solely leave him out considering she was never bothered they had split when they did "i'll give Rick a heads up to not let him drink so much" she suggested aloud before typing fast on her phone to message him.

Olivia changed into her favourite shorts playsuit, it was something she could dress up or dress down depending on the event . It was a pretty casual gathering eventhough Lori was opting on a LDB but that was Lori. Daryl had a white t shirr and his camo shorts, Olivia loved his 'not caring' style and it suited him, he looked hot scruffy or tailored although she was yet to see him in something tailored. "You look really pretty" he spoke walking out the bathroom seeing her finish her makeup in her dressing room. He looked at his clothes and she noticed he looked uncertain in what he had "Daryl you look hot." She smiled but he wasnt convinced "trust me. I know whats hot after all" she joked flicking her hair over her shoulders diva style.

T arrived first in his football jersey with a crate of beers in tow followed by Andrea who for once in a long while looked herself and was smiling. Olivia was about to shut the door when Rick and Lori arrived along with some other guys from the team with their cheerleader girlfriends.

Turning round she saw Daryl and T finding a good playlist from the many T had made. And it wasnt long before music was playing and drinks were flowing.

"I think im used to the idea of being a mom" Andrea smiled as she sipped her lemonade as she sat with the girls. "My mom flipped obviously and she isnt really talking to me but I dont care" she added as Lori and Olivia listened intently "i always thought it would be you and Rick first" Olivia teased making Lori blush "I wanna be married first" She replied "not that the way you are doing it is wrong" she added hoping not to offend Andrea.

When Shane arrived it was clear he had a drink beforehand and Olivia quickly looked to Rick seeing as she warned him to not let Shane be that way but Rick pulled a face which said it was out of his control. Collecting used cups to clear away Olivia overheard Rick tell Daryl "Shane has been hard to reach lately, something is bugging him he is doing terrible at practice which sucks as he is the star player" maybe he was taking their break up harder than she thought. She was convinced he never loved her and if he did he had such a funny way of showing it.

Olivia rolled her eyes when Shane headed her way. She wanted this to be a fun party, she didnt want him being pathetic and bothering her. She blew a sigh of relief inside when he walked straight past her so Olivia carried on clearing up.

Rick suggested they all played a drinking game which made T and Lori glare at him about Andrea not being able to play but she didnt mind, she ushered them on to play without her and said she would head home to get an early night. Olivia suggested she stayed the night but she was adamant she wanted to go home.

The group were laughing as they played the game 'never have i ever' and Lori and a few others couldnt help but raise an eyebrow coyly at Olivia at what Daryl had done.

As the game questions became a lot more sexual, a tryst with a fellow cheerleader was revealed by T to an array of cheers by the football team. The girls shook their head, the football team acted like it was a cure to world hunger the way they went on. Then it dawned on Olivia, Shane was nowhere to be seen during this game, maybe him being single would make him look silly? Not that that ever stooped him running his mouth about his 'exploits'

Without causing attention to herself Olivia paced up her stairs hoping Shane wasnt in her room or prying around somewhere. Opening her door she saw her room was empty as were the bathrooms and her parents room was still locked as she had left it. She stepped onto the balcony that looked down the driveway to see if he was out there having a smoke. She couldnt see him but she could hear him.

"Just tell me will you, I know what the answer is I just have to hear it from you" he snapped to whoever he was speaking to. Olivia leant over to see him but she still couldnt.

Dashing down the stairs she walked past her friends who were engrossed in their game and headed outside in hopes of sshing Shane to not disturb the nosey neighbours.

Olivia could hear Shane growing frustrated with each sigh he made so she crept round to see more. Not that she needed to creep, the music was pretty loud.

"Does she know? I mean at least grant me that" Shane snapped again. "No" a voice whimpered. "So it is mine?" He snapped again.

Olivia felt uneasy, from what she could see of Shane he looked pissed, and not drunk pissed, angry pissed. She continued further to him, she didnt want whatever it was to ruin her party.

"It is! I just know it" Shane spat shaking his head. Suddenly Olivia wished she hadnt been so keen to go outside.

Shane was talking to Andrea.
