Seventeen

This was not happening. The whole way back to school Olivia went over again and again how much of an idiot she felt, she told Daryl she liked him, but unlike Daryl didnt say how she liked him and then to top it off she called him "buddy" as she left. She couldnt stop shaking her head as she relived it all.

School was near on empty now, just the nerds lingering in the library and the detentionees loitering the hallway. Rick and the guys were at practice, she saw Shane jerk his way over the field, he was treated like utter royalty on that pitch and boy did he know it. She tried to pick out the girls from the small crowd watching but couldnt see them, pulling out her phone she saw a missed call and a message from Lori
Where did you run off to girl? Practice is off tonight, I'm at Andrea's she rang earlier and sounded really upset, meet me there xx L

"And to top it off Olivia you suck at friendship!" She cursed herself, but she couldnt feel all bad, the missed call and message was just from Lori so its not like Andrea had tried and Olivia was too preoccupied. She wondered for a second why Andrea hadnt called her, especially in the hierarchy of Lori and Andrea Olivia was their leader, its not something she was exactly proud to admit but thats how they acted around her, she was head cheerleader, in the grand scheme of things it came with the job title. Not focusing too much on the rules of school she was now beginning to loathe, she turned quick on her heels to head to Andrea's.

Andrea's bedroom light was on so at least she hadnt missed her. "Oh my god you would not believe it" Lori whispered hurriedly as she pulled Olivia into the door, she must of seen her pull into the driveway and couldnt wait to get her involved. "Whats happened? Is she okay?" Olivia whispered back confused, she could see Andrea on the sofa, blubbing. Olivia narrowed her eyes, she couldnt work out if it was Andrea being typically dramatic or if this was serious. "Andy?" Olivia cooed as she went to sit in front of her upset friend, looking up to Lori who motioned her to the kitchen discreetly. "Let me get you a glass of water" Olivia smiled giving her hand a reassuring squeeze and using that as an excuse to join Lori who she hoped would fill her in on the goings on here.

"What the?" Olivia mouthed to Lori as gently closed the door to so Andrea wouldnt hear them "guess what" Lori whispered almost sounding pleased by whatever information she had to reveal. Olivia roles her eyes, she used to enjoy the 'guess what' game whenever either of them had news but she was worried for her friend "just tell me Lor" she sighed growing frustrated, Lori nudged her arm "guess!" She nearly squealed, "urgh, Jason turned her down for a date?" Olivia half guessed and began to grow annoyed at Andrea for being that dramatic over a guy who in Olivia's eyes was punching to be with her friend. Lori pulled a face as if that was the stupidest reply she had ever heard but Olivia wasnt going to be guessing again "tell me now or i'll go ask her" she snapped, something was going on here and she wanted to know. "She's pregnant" Lori revealed. Olivia was stunned, she literally couldnt speak, she was open mouthed it was something that hadnt even crossed her mind "so thats why she went so funny at the mall, she was nauseous" she gasped. Still open mouthed she went to console her friend.

Wrapping her arm around Andrea she allowed her to let it all out on her shoulder, still speechless all she could do was hush her and comfort her. "I dont know what to do" Andrea whimpered coming up for air, Lori joined them kneeling infront of Andrea "you still havent said who the father is" Lori mentioned "it doesnt matter, he wont wanna know now!" Andrea sobbed, drying her eyes on a soggy tissue she had clearly overused today "why didnt you say anything yesterday babe?" Olivia urged squeezing her hand "it hadnt sunk in" she replied weakly, the trio went silent and the only sounds were Andrea's sniffles before Olivia broke it "so, what are you going to do? I mean whatever it is we are here for you 100%" Andrea looked at her fed up "i dont wanna do that if thats what you are asking" she sighed in reply pushing herself from the couch to walk the room. Lori and Olivia shared worried glances "well, we will be right by your side for it" Lori assured her as Olivia nodded in agreement. "Is it Jason?" Olivia asked, she knew him and Andrea were seeing eachother but they were on and off more than a light switch! Andrea didnt answer and Olivia didnt want to pry, this was a lot of information for her to process as it is, this was going to be life changing.

"I should get to bed, I havent slept in a few days, your guys mind seeing yourself out? Ill see you at school tomorrow, if i miss another day my mom will start asking questions" Andrea sighed wearily. Olivia hugged her tightly and followed Lori out the door.

"Shit. This is big" Olivia mentioned as she started her car, Lori exhaled deeply shaking her head "I cant believe she was that stupid" she replied, Olivia scowled "yea well it can still happen stupid or not" she reminded her, Lori shook her head "I know that but, you know, who wants a kid at this age?!" She tried to explain what she meant and Olivia knew what was meant by her comment but she could of worded it better "well its happening" Olivia replied, the news hadnt really sunk in for her either.

Returning back at the school Olivia saw Rick, Shane and T finish up practice and head over to the parking lot. "Rick!" Lori called out and waved before skipping over to greet him, Olivia felt nervous walking over there alone and she tried not to let it show. "Didnt see you guys cheering" TDog mentioned Olivia quickly thought using the lie that Andrea wasnt well as to why they cancelled but Lori couldnt help herself "Andrea's pregnant" "Lori!" Olivia snapped, she couldnt believe Lori couldnt keep that one to herself just that little bit longer "she's what?!" Rick and T both asked in unison "its not like they were never going to find out" Lori justified in an apologetic tone, Olivia pulled a frustrated face "guys it has to stay between us, be fair to Andrea after all this is going to be hard enough as it is" She spoke making sure it wouldnt become the talk of the school tomorrow, looking to Shane who was rubbing his head "she said who the daddy is?"showing concern, "i didnt think her and Jason were together anymore" T mentioned but then he shrugged "not, not that that matters" Rick suddenly took charge of the situation and spoke in a serious tone "until she says anything we dont know nothing. Shane, T you hear?" Olivia was grateful she knew they would listen to his reasoning so for now it was just her and Lori who knew and the guys had to just forget.

"I have to get back, I'll see you guys tomorrow" Olivia waved by to her friends and walked aimlessly back to her car, she really couldnt stop thinking about Andrea.

"Thought you'd forgotten about our plan" Daryl spoke leaning on her car making her jump, technically she had.
