"I can not find a dress and I think im about to cry" Olivia whined as she thrashed the dresses on the rail in the mall, it had been a few weeks since the  big game and it was now the build up to Prom. The biggest night of their Highschool lives. "Rick is wearing the same tux he wore to his cousin's wedding, I wish I could wear something old" Lori joined in on the whining, it was totally necessary giving the circumstances, as usual the girls watched what they ate eventhough they didnt need to Rick and Daryl told them both that and they still couldnt find a dress they liked. They were either too short, too low cut or just pure gross and the girls were begining to flap over the time limit to get one.

"There is one I just love in that store over there" Olivia pointed for Lori to see, it was a pale blue Grecian style dress, it was beautiful and Olivia knew she would look a million dollars in it but sadly now she didnt have her father's pity money she would never be able to afford it. The sad truth was Olivia didnt want to go at all because she knew she didnt like an of the other dresses, she dare'nt tell Daryl that but she felt inadequate in anything but that dress it seemed the spoilt little rich girl was still in her no matter how much Olivia wanted rid of her.

"That one looks lovely! go try it on!" Olivia said pushing the pink puffball dress at Lori as she headed for the fitting room, it would suit Lori perfectly, she had the long legs to work it.

Olivia tried to hide her sulky face at the cash register, Lori had found her dress and Olivia was still without. Times had certainly changed from when Olivia made sure she had her dress first and then Lori and Andrea could choose theirs. One year when they were thirteen at Olivia's party she made sure the girls told her what colours they were planning on to make sure it didnt clash with her choice, Olivia always had the final say.

As the girls strolled along in the mall Olivia spotted a advertisement for a job for a shop assistant, part time too. Lori looked confused when Olivia darted in but waited for her anyhow. "You want a job?" Lori asked when her friend came out smiling chirpy. "Something to help me and Daryl out at least, and plus I should be able to have enough to buy that dress" she added and the girls stood in awe as they gazed at the blue dress in the window. "I have time to use now im not at cheerleading anymore" Olivia sounded hopeful linking arms with Lori as they exited the mall.

Olivia said goodbye to Lori as she dropped her home, she couldnt wait to tell Daryl about the job and see how he got on tux shopping with T.

"Any luck?" she asked hoping he had had some and it was just her left to kit out. Daryl shook his head, she sighed, this prom was becoming more hassle than it was worth. It never used to be this difficult, but back then things were a lot more easier in materialistic terms.

"I was thinking of just renting one, I mean when am I going to wear a tux again?" He said, he did have a point, Daryl was not a tux guy, but he would look mighty fine in one. Olivia pulled a concerned face "Well, I asked for a job at one of the concession stores in the mall, thought it would help us save for an outfit" She explained her idea, he didnt look impressed which made her uncomfortable. "Whats wrong?" she asked "I dont want you to work, I want to work and provide for you" he pleaded, Olivia gave him an 'aww' look he was the sweetest without even trying at times "Its fine, a little extra wont hurt and its not as if you have fixed any bikes or cars up in a while" she spoke trying not to sound like she was putting him down but the cupboards were not exactly going to fill themselves and between him fixing the odd vehicle and Merle sending the odd cheque they were going to need money and soon.

Daryl began rooting around in the back of one of the cupboards "I havent bought much to fill up the cupboards because ive been putting this away" He spoke pushing some money into her hand, she was now even more confused and it instantly hit her Daryl might be selling drugs "All the money Merle has sent ive put some away for you" he continued, and Olivia breathed a sigh of relief, but then confusion hit her again "Why? why me?" she asked, Daryl put his hands in his front pockets "For you to have your dress" he revealed, she felt her heart melt there and then "I want you to have the dress of your dreams and you deserve it, I dont care if I have to rent my tux but I dont want you to rent your dress" he added, quickly tossing the money onto the couch she wrapped her arms around Daryl and pulled him into an hug taking him off guard. "you are the sweetest I love you!" she beamed.
