Chapter 10: Night to Decide

Natalie and all friends of Riley came into Cafe.
"So before Noah and I...ya know."
"Okay...he's my brother remember."
"Right sorry...anyways. I got a text from Tyler. He needs our help."
"And you just let the little man hanging...harsh."
"Jake!"
Will and Natalie called out.
"Sorry."
"Wait did you text him back?"
"Yes! He said he didn't do it. But he's afraid he'll come back and get arrested."
"Do you believe him?"
Emma asked.
"Yes."
"No...I don't trust him. I told him to hand himself in."
Brooke shrugged.
"Wait he texted you too?"
"Yeah...same time as Riley."
Natalie and Emma looked at eachother.
"This is bad...no, he's lying...you can't trust him Riley."
Natalie mutters.
"Why not?"
"I don't think this is Tyler."
Emma adds.
"But it was from his number."
"It's not him."
"Natalie?"
Jake looked at her, she sat there shaking with her cup of tea in her hands. She just stared at the wall. Jake stood up and walked over to her.
"Hey, Nat."
"Hmm."
She shook her head and looked at Jake.
"Are you alright."
She nodded. Jake pulled a chair next to her and sat down.
"What are you two talking about?"
Will asked Emma and Natalie.
"Someone's been calling and harassing me, and Natalie too."
"What?"
Jake looked at Natalie.
"It's weird okay..."
"Is that the guy who attacked you in the alley Emma?"
"Yeah, he pretended to be me."
"Why would someone try to be Tyler."
"It's hard to explain but trust us...you can't trust him."
Emma leaned in.
"Emma, I don't know who's screwing with you but I know Tyler. He's afraid and we need to hear him out."
"Riley we need to go to the police."
"So he can get killed like all those people...like Brandon James?"
Natalie started to shake again and breath in and out loud.
Soon after she felt a hard grip on her hand. She looked down to see another hand in hers. It's was Jakes hand. She looked up and smiled at him. He smiled back.
"Riles...I love you I do but...Tyler might of killed Nina."
Everyone looked at Riley.
"I vote for cops."
Brooke raises her hand. Emma nods. Jake nods. Will nods and then Natalie nods. Riley sighs and frowns.
"If they hurt him...it's on you."
"And if the guy that texted you is the killer...what then?"
Natalie looks at Riley. She frowns and rolls her eyes. She gets up and the girls follow Riley and the boys leave another way.

*Time later*

"Emma!" "Nat!"
Teresa and Maggie stepped into the sheriff's station. They stood up and looked at there mom's.
"Whats are you guys doing here?"
"The sheriff called us. We're your mother's."
Emma grunted.
"We just checked the phone records...the texts did come from Tylers phone."
Mr.Hudson stepped in and looked at us.
"I knew it. I told you."
"Wait...your positive? Could someone of taken it?"
"It's possible but this is the only chance we can bring him in...text Tyler back. Meet up with him in a public place like the park on route 9."
"I don't know...I don't wanna lie."
"Riley...you know I would but he'd know I would set him up."
Brooke placed her hand on her shoulder.
"You have to do this Riley..."
"I know you feel like your betraying a friend but if he's innocent, this is the perfect time to prove it."
Riley looked at Emma.
"Everythings gonna be okay...we're doing the right thing."
Emma rubbed rileys back.
"Are you trying to convince me or you?"
Emma frowned, taking her hand away and Riley looked back. She took her phone from Hudsons hands and texted Tyler back, to meet up at route 9.
