Chapter 25: Safe and Sound

Natalie stared at the door.
"You gotta go. I'll find the others."
Will intended. He tried to get up but failed.
"You can barely stand!"
"You need to leave now."
"You know what I'll just open the door to allow you to kill yourself."
Noah walked to the door and opened it.
The killer stood with its knife up and tilted it's head.
They all screamed and Noah closed it, but the killers foot stopped the door. He pushed and Noah pushed.
Natalie helped Noah and the killers knife appeared ok there side of the door.
Noah kept screaming.
"Noah! Shut up!"
The knife jabbed thr knife into Natalies waist. It quickly entered and exited. She groaned in pain and Will got up and put the pole over the door and pushed the killer off it.
It closed with a thud and Natalie covered her wound. "Nat!"
"Shut up."
Noah and Will ran by her side and they stayed quiet for a few minutes.
Brooke grabbed Emmas jacket and pressed it on Natalies wound.
"I'm fine...we need to find Jake...and Emma."
"I'll go."
Brooke said.
"Fine you go find Emma...I'll go find Jake. You two stay here."
"No."
"Noah. If Will gets more weak and can't move and he dies here because you didn't stay you'll regret it. Just promise you'll stay."
"Okay."
Brooke and Natalie grabbed a spear each. They opened the door and the killer was gone.
"Nat..."
Will looked at her and she looked at him.
"Stay safe...come out of this alive..."
"I will...I'll see you later okay."
He nodded and they stepped out of the room, Noah closed the door behind them.
"I'll go this way. You go that way."
As they left something else played on the announcement system.
Natalie lifted her spear, pushing on her wound to make It stop bleeding.
She walking to the area she last saw Jake. A body was limped over with a dagger through his chest.
It was Jake.
"Oh god. Jake!"
Natalie jogged to him and she let go of the spear. She looked at the knife and put her hands under his chin.
"No...no...no! Please don't die."
Tears ran down Natalies face and Jake gasped for air.
"Oh my god."
Natalie smiled and Jake looked at her with tired eyes.
"You weep for the Jake."
She giggled and she looked at the knife again.
"Do it..."
Jake whimpered.
"I can't...I'll hurt you."
"Nat...I'm already in pain."
In the distance Emma screamed.
"Come on Nat."
Natalie grabbed the knife with two hands, she put her knee out and placed her foot beside him.
Jake looked at her and she counted down.
"3...2...1!"
At 1, she pulled the knife out. Jake screamed and cried out loud.
Natalie took the jacket that was covering her wound and was about to place it on his wound but he stopped her.
"No...you need it. Help me up okay."
He was tired and weak.
Natalie tied the jacket round her wound and gently got herself and Jake up. They started to walk down, towards the main entrance and lights beamed in their faces.
The lights went down and they looked to see police officers and doctors.
"Mom..."
"Sweety."
Natalies mother ran by Jakes side and helped her.
"Wheres Noah? Brooke? Emma? Will?"
"They're all safe. Come on."
They left the building and it was now night. Jake was layed down on a table and pushed into an ambulance.
"Nat. I need to check you."
"I'm going with Jake."
"Nat, you've lost alot of blood."
"Mom...I'm going. I'll get help as soon as I know he's safe."
Nat walked to the ambulance and saw Will, she gently waved and he smiled back.
She jumped into the back and sat beside Jake. His eyes were closed but as soon as Natalie held his hands in hers he opened them.
"Hey there..."
"N-Nat. Is...Will safe?"
"Yeah, he's fine."
"And...are...you safe?"
"I'm fine."
The ambulance started to drive to the hospital.
He looked at her waist.
"You-your lying."
"I wanted to make sure you were safe."
"I am...doctor!"
A little window from the front opened and a face was shown.
"Yes? Is everything okay?"
"Can yo-you come check on her...she's bleeding."
"Alright."
The car stopped and the man jumped in from the back.
Natalie looked at Jake as the man lifted her shirt.
"You just need a few stitches...you'll be fine."
Natalie looked at Jake and he smiled. His eyes started to close and he fell asleep. The doctor sat down.
Natalie grabbed ahold of his hands and put her head on his arm and closed her eyes, falling into a deep slumber.
