I swam deep into the ocean and called for Forte. He came to me with something blue in his mouth.

"My ribbon..."

It was the blue ribbon that had kept my hair up in a ponytail when I was human.

"How did you find this?" I asked surprised.

"It was floating nearby," he replied.

I smiled and took it from him, tying my hair up like I had before.

"Now lets go. Mother is going to be so mad," I said.

Forte swam with me until we got to the opening of the cave.

"You can go now. Thanks Forte."

I swam inside and slowly peeked my head in.

"Oh so you still know where your home is?"

I slipped inside with my hands at my back.

"Sorry mother."

"Sorry doesn't cut it!" she exclaimed. "Do you know how worried I was?"

"I'm sorry."

"No you deliberately disobeyed me! You could've died!"

"But I didn't!"

"But you could've!"

She stopped mixing her potions and looked at me.

"But I'm here now..."

"Y/N you don't understand the world outside. You can't understand it the way I do!"

Yugyeom's P.O.V
I could hear them arguing from outside. I shouldn't interfere even if I wanted to. Forte was outside with me. Impatient and mad, he quickly swam inside.

"I'm sorry ma'am but it was all my fault!"

"You have a dolphin friend?? What else are you keeping from me?" her mother screamed

"Please mother I-"

"I've never been so...so frustrated before!"

I rushed in when I heard this. Y/N's mother looked angry enough to cast a spell on Forte. I could see the power stirring up in her hands. Afraid something bad could happen, I rushed in front of Y/N and pushed her aside. Her mother accidentally released her powerful waves in my direction.

Y/N's P.O.V.
I was too surprised to move, it all happened so fast but Yuygeom swam in front and pushed me. The waves brushed past his arms and scraped it. Blood slowly dispersed in the sea water.

"Yugyeom!"

I rushed to his side and slipped off the ribbon that Forte had given me. I wrapped it around his arm to keep it from bleeding.

"I'll get you some medicine and seaweed wraps!"

He held my hand and stopped me.

"I'm okay," he said.

Lies. No one who gets hit by my mother's powers end up okay. I'm just glad it curved before hitting him full on.

"I'm...I'm so sorry Yugyeom...I'm so sorry Y/N," mother said looking at her hands in disbelief.

She moved back slowly away from us, scared of herself.

"It's okay. It wasn't your fault," Yugyeom said.

"No it was. I should've kept my emotions in control better."

"Any mother who loves her daughter would feel the same way you do. Don't worry about me. Y/N knows what she did was wrong but because she didn't want to put shame on you, she decided it was best to complete the deal. It's my fault for allowing her to do so without your knowledge. I'm sorry," he said.

She looked at us and nodded.

"You both should go now," mother said.

"Mother-"

"You too Y/N. I need some time to myself."

Reluctant to go, Yugyeom grabbed my hand and nodded. We left and started swimming away from the town.

"Did Forte tell you?" I asked.

"Yes he did."

"Say Yugyeom...a lot has happened when I was human," I started to say.

"It's okay. Leave the stories for another day. You've been through enough."

He patted my head lightly.

"How's your arm?"

"It's alright. Don't worry," he said kindly.

"Say Yugyeom. How did you communicate with Forte? It wouldn't take him that fast to swim to you," I said.

"He called for me."

"As in with the mind?" I asked.

"Um..yes..that."

"So you can do it too?" I asked confused.

"Oh ouch owwie!"

He touched his arm where the cut was. I quickly touched his arm and tried to take a look.

"You're not okay! Let's go get you some medicine!

He chuckled softly and leaned his face into mine.

"Gotchu."

"Y-yah! Too close!"

I pulled away from him and he swam closer again.

"Are you embarrassed?" he asked with a sly smirk.

"N-no! What has Bambam been teaching you?" I stuttered.

Yugyeom's face was right in front of mine now. His long nose touched mine.

"No Bambam. Just me," he said softly.

I blushed and pushed him away.

"I guess while I was away you've been learning how to flirt," I said, trying to calm myself.

"So you do know I was flirting with you. Did I do it wrong then?" he asked to himself while scratching his head innocently like a child.

I laughed and patted his head.

"Now that's my little Gyeomie," I said with a smile.

"I'm not Forte," he said pouting.

"I know that."

I smirked and wrinkled my nose before twirling my hair.

"You're still worried about your mother aren't you?"

"Yes..."

"Y/N. If there's one thing I know for a fact, it's that she loves you. Your mother has always kept her magic powers under control. She's not mad at you," he said.

"But I'm a bad daughter...I made her angry."

"Y/N look at me."

He took my hands in his hands and stared into my eyes.

"You don't know it but you were a blessing to your mother. Because of you she's happy. That's why it hurt so much when she thought you were lying to her. When she calms down, talk to her. Everything will be alright," Yugyeom said.

I took a deep breath in.

"Okay. Thank you Gyeomie."

"Now you owe me," he said.

"Hmmm? Owe you??"

"Yes. A date. Tomorrow. No buts because you're going with me," he said with a smile.

"Aish really."

"It'll be your first date right?" he asked.

"You're the only guy who has ever asked me on a date. Say Yugyeom, do you like me?" I teased.

He blushed and turned away.

"Ahem. Anyways don't be late tomorrow!" he shouted.

I giggled and nodded. My first date...why did I think of Jimin just now?
