Raine's P.O.V

Me and Abelard Sat in our favorite spot. No one except for Mother and the dragons could climb up and get us. I watched the sunset, beautiful oranges and reds spilled across the dark blue sky. Stars had already started to fill the sky and me and Abelard started to whisper about the adventure. Our dragons had decided to take it upon themselves to go to the flame tree near a volcano, my mother always went there, I always wondered what was over there. Our dragons were obsidian. My Dragon, I named Faaris. Abelard named his Dragon Arian. Their scales were so hard that not even my mother's dagger could penetrate them. The two dragons also had big wings that could slice through air. They had purplish blue scales every once in a while and it gave them a pristine look to them. On the underside of their wings there were hundreds of small purplish white scales. When looking up at a flying obsidian Dragon at night it just looked like the night sky. I smiled as their heat radiated off of them in this cold night. Obsidian dragons didn't get cold. The stayed warm forever. Their black scales sucked up heat and then stored the heat beneath the scales. I looked over at Abelard he has finished telling me about a way to escape past the guards. I nodded to him as I saw mom walk away. She was following Aunt Alita. They were finally going to finish the baby room. Me and Abelard were about to get up and get on our dragons when I saw a shadow. Right as I was about to scream I was snatched up. Abelard was too and he let out a muffled gasp. I struggled violently trying to get out of the man's grasp. I looked down. We were a long way down but I kept struggling. I looked down again at the claws of this huge beast. In it's claws were our two dragons, I also noticed that They were out cold. Suddenly I felt a huge pain rip through my head and all I saw was black.

I opened my eyes a crack. I was in a very dark room, it was so dark that my senses I got from being bonded to a obsidian Dragon almost wasn't enough to see. When a person or rider is bonded with an obsidian Dragon their senses become enhanced. My eyesight became 10 times better, my smell became 10 times better, and my hearing taste and touch got 10 times better too. We could also camouflage into any surface. I used my abilities to their full potential as I felt myself camouflage into the wall. I felt around in the ground and then when there was nothing I looked around. I was in the room alone. After a moment I saw the air shift to my left and suddenly I knew that I was indeed not alone. I whispered as softly as I could "Hey... Abelard? Are you okay?" the air stopped shifting and he said "Yes, my head hurts though." I nodded and noticed that my head hurt too. I looked up to find that our dragons were suspended above us. They had also disappeared I smiled and said in my head "Faaris? Are you okay?" She shifted above us and said "Yeah, I'm okay but these chains that we are in, I can't seem to melt them. They must be magic." I thought for a moment, was there a way out of this? I looked down at the chains and when I heard a door open I slowly looked up, A Boy who looked a little older than us walked in. He seemed young, which was odd since he wore a crown...He was looking at the ground but after 4 steps he looked up. He stopped dead in his tracks. He slowly walked towards us looking around in bewilderment. He suddenly got really angry and yelled "WHO LET THEM GO!" I flinched as he yelled and when I did the chain moved and made a clink sound. He whipped his head towards me and narrowed his eyes. He took 3 steps that brought him right in front of me. He crouched down so slowly that I could here how his shoes squelch under the strain. He moved his hand slowly and grabbed the chain. His hand was next to my face. he had dark eyes and his hair was relatively long and black like our dragons scales, I couldn't hold back the thought that he was rather handsome. I held my breathe and willed him to stand back up. He looked around and then when he was about to reach an touch my face a guard rushed in and said "Sir we have seen suspicious activity on the border!" the guard rushed back out again and the guy put down his hand. He stared one last time at the chain before he suddenly threw a short tantrum, he pulled out an axe and cut the chains creating sparks and he cursed the chains as he rushed out of the room. He bellowed down the hall "I WANT THEM FOUND BEFORE I KILL EVERYONE HERE!" I shuddered as I stood. I was light headed and shaky on my feet. Abelard stood and materialized in front of me. I looked at him as he looked at me, he lurched forward and hugged me. He said "That was close...too close..." I nodded into his shirt. We stepped away from each other and I looked up. Our dragons had already materialized and were swinging around trying to get free. I looked around the room. I could climb the rafter on the wall...and then balance on the slab of wood hanging across the whole room holding up the dragons..." I took out the two daggers they had not found and started to climb up the damp cellar wood. I finally reached the top and grabbed onto the piece of wood suspended across the room. I hauled myself into it and then slowly made my way next to the dragons. I looked at the chains. They were hooked into the wood. I took a dagger out and one chain fell. I went over to another and took that hook out too. One Dragon glided to the ground. I started on the other hook but it wouldn't budge. I put my whole body into the movement and it suddenly gave way. I fell but managed to clutch the piece of wood. A few splinters got lodged into my hand but I didn't care. I was a good 25 feet above the ground. I looked up and tried to pull myself up. I managed to get far but I was slipping back. I felt a sting, Faaris pushed up on my back. It was my Dragon still suspended helping me. I nodded and grit my teeth together as I hauled myself up with the last burst of my strength. I gasped and laid on my stomach for a minute. I slowly stood back up and moved to the last hook. This one was thankfully easier to get out. I jumped onto Faaris and she glided to the ground. I got off of her and my knees gave out and I fell. Abelard came over and picked me up. We both camouflaged ourselves and we all ran outside. There were guards everywhere. We silently walked passed them and when we made it to the front entrance door we got into our dragons a flew away as quickly as we could. We soon realized though... We had no idea where we were. We were utterly and cluelessly, lost.
