"Come on Ella!" Dad yells from downstairs. I sprint down the stairs with my Nike backpack. There are about 10 boxes in my dads truck plus a few items of furniture.  "Ready?"

"Ready," I reply. I hop into the car and set my bag in front of me. Plugging my earphones in we start the journey to my new home.

An hour later and we have reached our destination. Dad starts unpacking the truck while I unlock the house door and walk through the rooms and inspect everything. As I look around I notice that there were a few too many bedrooms. Dad has put all the boxes in the living room, ready to unpack everything.

"Dad, why are there some many bedrooms when it's only me staying here?" I question.

"After you graduate, all your friends are moving in that's why the house is so big." He says like it's not a big deal.

"REALLY?!?" I yell, placing both hands over my mouth.

"Yes! But I'm only paying the bills while you're finishing the last months of school but once you leave it's your responsibility," he says cutting a box open.

"Oh my gosh, dad, thank you so much," I run up and give him the biggest hug. He wraps his strong arms around me and holds on for dear life.

"It's alright sweetheart. But if your having trouble at the new school just tell me and I'll get you out of there." He says into my hair.

"Noted. Let's start unpacking, I'll start with the bedrooms and you can start with the living room and kitchen." I lean back just enough to see his face but still holding each other.

"Sure thing," Dad replies. And with that, we got into it.

After five hours of unpacking and decorating this beautiful house we are done and ready to head back home to spend my last few days there with my friends and family.

"Are you excited?" Dad asks as we leave the house and starting up the car.

I think about for a few seconds and honestly, I don't really know if I'm excited. The thing I'm most excited about is being able to live with my friends after I graduate. But moving schools and living on my own for the next 6 months terrifies me but I have to do this.

"I don't know," I answer shrugging.

"I'm sure by Monday you'll be excited." Dad says starting the car and reversing out of the drive way.

"I'm gonna miss you guys, especially Jeremy." It sucks that I'm leaving Jeremy. He's the closest person to me and I wouldn't know what to do with myself if something happens to him.

"We will visit you all the time. You can always come down too on the weekends." He suggests.

"I know but it's not going to be the same," I say, looking out the window of the car.

"Nothing has ever been the same since mum left," he says so quietly, I was lucky I even heard him. When mum passed away that was when everything went wrong. My anger management gets worse day after day, I've been making the wrong choices with new people I meet and I've just been so unhappy.

"I know and I just want to be the girl I was before the spirit of bad luck decided to curse me."

"Ella, you haven't been cursed with bad luck. Your brothers and I all lost your mother too and I get other things have happened to you but you can't downgrade yourself because of the past, you need to hold your head high every day and don't let that bastard of a kid control the way you pursue your dreams and live your life." Dad says patting my leg. I give him a small smile and look out the window.

It's going to be hard for the first few weeks but I definitely know now that I'm excited and nervous to see where this takes me.

Miki, Emily and I have planned to go for a quick coffee before I leave on Monday.

I'm the first to get to Starbucks, immediately sitting in our usual booth in the back corner.

"Okay, girls I have some pretty exciting news," I squeal as they arrive together and quickly sit in front of me.

"Please tell me that you're not leaving us," Emily says hold her head.

"No, I'm still leaving. But the house I'm staying in isn't just for me," I say with a smirk on my face, crossing my arms in front of me on the table.

"You have hot roommates," Miki guesses, winking at me.

I couldn't help but chuckle a bit.

"I wish, but no. When I finish high school you guys are gonna live with me!" I say shaking my hands to exaggerate my enthusiasm.

"No freaking way!" Emily squeals.

"Yes, way." I smirk.

One of the waitresses interrupts us to take our orders and as I wait for the girls to finish ordering I spot Jake at the front waiting for his order. I immediately put my head down and wait for him to leave.

Before the girls have noticed me being weird I continue on with our previous conversation.

"So are you girls in?" I ask with a cheesy grin.

"I'm definitely in but are you sure there's enough room?" Miki asks.

"There is plenty of space," I say.

"Yay!! I'm so excited!" Emily squeals.

"Me too!" I exclaim. "You girls better visit me,"

"Duh, obviously I won't be able to go a week without seeing you. When are you moving in?" Emily asks.

"Monday," I nod. "I'm going to spend the day with my brothers and dad on Sunday and then Jeremy will drive me up Monday morning," I explain.

"Okay, so when do you start the new school?" Miki now asks.

"Tuesday," I respond. The girls nod in response. "I'm going to miss you girls so much."

"We're both going to miss you too, Ella," Miki pouts.

It's going to be a long six months away from Miki and Emily but once its over, they won't be away from me.
