"How scary can we go with this Halloween party?"

"Um-"

"Because we can either go scary or we can go creepy. Which would you prefer?"

"Prefer? Neither."

"Neither?"

"I'm not a fan of Halloween. I'm only excited about it because you're excited about it."

"But you're the one that agreed to have the party at our house."

"Because I'm a pushover who can't say 'no' to people when they ask me for things."

"But..."

"What?"

"I don't want you to be excited about it just because I am. I want you to like Halloween because it's amazing."

"Amazing? Halloween is not amazing."

"It is!"

"It is not."

"I'll prove to you that it is."

"Yeah, how?"

"By making tomorrow's party the best one ever. Duh."

"You'd do that, for me?"

"What wouldn't I do for you?!"

"Well, there was that one night last week where you were like, 'Oh, Hell no am I doing that!'"

"That's because you took me to Pets at Home and asked me to hold a tarantula!"

"Not the point."

"Totally the point. Anyway, we're going off topic. Tomorrow's party is going to be amazing. So amazing, it's going to make you fall in love with Halloween."

"Fine. I'd love to see you try. Good luck."

"I can totally do this."

"With Fletch?"

"..."

"..."

"Even with Fletch."

"..."

"What?"

"Nothing. I didn't say a word."

"Exactly."

"I'm going to text you Fletch's number."

"Ew, why?"

"So you two can work together to plan this amazing party you promised me."

"..."

"Sophie?"

"Urgh... fine. Text me the number."

"Great."

"Yeah. Fantastic."

"Hey, Soph?"

"What?"

"Smile."

"I am smiling."

"You're not."

"I am!" 

"Your words aren't smiling."

"Words don't smile."

"They do. That's how I know you are not smiling right now."

"But-"

"I can read you like a book, Soph. Now, call Fletch, be gracious, and for my sake, get along with him."

"I already said I would!"

"Sophie!"

"Ok, alright, fine. Jeez."

"Thank you. Now, go plan this amazing party."

"I'm going!"

"Too right you are."
