Lauren POV
"Ms. Hamilton, come to the stand now." Taylor said, as she slowly started to stand up and walk. Normani was a bit nervous, I hope it's not that much to get herself out of the blame. She got up to the stand, Attorney Ryan fixed her glasses and went up close the to stand to talk to Normani.
"You wrote the song, or should I say songs, right?" She said, a sense a little sarcasm in her voice, I hope she's not being smart because 'Mani will really go off.
"Yeah, I wrote almost every song that we've sung." Normani confessed, she doesn't look that nervous, maybe she has gotten over it.
"So it could've been, you were writing in your songbook, you were out of ideas. You heard a unfamiliar song on the radio and took some parts from it. You probably didn't know you would have to use that song. Could I be right?" Attorney Ryan said. Normani was still having a brave, but a little sassy look in her face.
"Your accusations are inaccurate. Yes that could've happened but it didn't. You can't just accuse me of stealing a songs lyrics like that when I been repeated to you and everyone in here I've never heard that song! Are you slow or something, was it confusing to you?" Normani yells at the attorney. Security were standing at the side ready to take her away if it gets physical.
"You know what? Fuck this, I'm out! I'm going to do what I wanted to do instead of coming to this crappy, petty, court!" She gets up and storms out. The guards simply move, not trying to get her angrier any more than what she already is.
"Well, we will continue this case tomorrow, make sure Ms. Hamilton has that attitude under control or her say in this case won't matter, no matter how much it helps." The judge says. She bangs her gavel and we all leave out.
Dinah pov
I texted Normani and told her to meet me at my house so we can head over to school. That court case was short. It's only 10:30, we missed like two classes! I get there, hoping that she'll be there waiting for me.
I walk in to my apartment, to my surprise, not really, Normani was on the couch. I sit next to her.
"You okay?" I said to her. She started to loosen up.
"They made it look like I was the reason. That really pissed me off." She said. She had her legs crossed with a angry look an her face. Her arms was also crossed and even though they were crossed, her legs were shaking.
"Don't be too upset, but if you don't get over by the next court date, you won't be there and you have pretty accurate stuff, babe." I reply to her, hoping that'll it calm her down. She whined down a bit, she uncrossed her legs and arms and stop shaking them.
"I hate to tell your this," I sigh, "what?" She says.
"You've been suffering with the court feels." I say, then she had a really weird face like this, I start to laugh, she really thought it was important.
"God those faces, I love them so much!" I said, still cracking up from her face. You had to see it to understand why I'm laughing so hard.
"Anyway," she playfully rolls her eyes. "What's "the court feels" DJ?" She emphasized as she switched her face back to normal. "You are only 16 so you've never been to court so you won't know that they have to do that to help their clients win so they can get paid. She's gonna find ways to blame it all on you because she's trying to see if you can confess to it or look guilty as can it fall on us so her side can win. She shows she understands.
"It's almost 11:30, it's time to get to third period boo. So, let's go." She gets her stuff and we both walk out the door to school.
New chap bishes. Bye!
