Lauren's POV
"Calm down girl," I say, trying to calm down a really angry Normani.
"She passed out and now they say she might be slipping into a coma! How the fuck am I supposed to calm down?" She replies in a very mad tone. I try as hard as I can to calm her down because she's mad as hell. I see 'Mani starting to cry. I could hear those sad, sobs through my speaker. "Look, I'm going to get the police department on this. We must get the person that done this." I answer back. "I know a girl, her name's Kehlani. She'll help us, she is used to these kinds of cases." She answered back quietly, trying to get over all of the sobs. I stay quiet to encourage her to keep talking.
"She's a excellent lawyer. She has won every single case without even giving up! She'd stay on a case for months! Plus, she is one of my good friends. Should I give her a call and see if she could help us?" She continued. This Kehlani girl could really help us regardless of the time that it would take. But there was one thing.
"Normani, you can hit her up but do you even know what happened?" I asked her, trying to get that last question before we can get the ball rolling. "Yes, she explained it to me and she fell into her coma, and before she could say the person's name. It was a female though." She told me, confirming that we have a story for her. Now that we've got the attorney and the story, we can actually attempt to find the culprit.
"We'll speak with her tomorrow. So I'm gonna let you get some sleep and I'll talk to you in the a.m." I say and she hangs up the phone after we say goodbye. I turn my lamp off and went to sleep.
Next morning>> in Kehlani's Office
"Nice seeing you again, Normani greets her. "So this is the emerald-eyed beauty you've been talking about." She complements me. I blush in a reply. She just smiles and then continues the conversation.
"Okay so when you guys were in school I called the police department. They need Ally to speak. But since she told you the entire thing, you have to go down there and be Ally's Alibi. Do you remember?" Kehlani confirms, pushing down the reading glasses on her eyes to read a paper, probably from the department. Normani nods and Kehlani does the reciprocal.
"Let's head there now. The quicker we get this done, the quicker we arrest the person that did this." We soon head out to the police department in Kehlani's car.
//Police Department//
Normani's POV
"I'm detective Maleah, I'll be here to take your statement, ma'am. Don't worry it's only you and me and you can take your time." Maleah said to me calmly. I felt kind of safe. I sigh and I start the story.
"She told me she was leaving detention, about to go our friend Lauren's house to beat her in a game of Wii Sports. She wanted to take a shortcut so she went into this Ally and it's was pitch black at the time. She saw a figure in a black out fit and it was a girl. She started to talk bout she knew her and her girlfriend were messing around and she wanted them to pay because it was all coming back on her. She also said how her family thought she did it and she was jumped four times. Ally really didn't care and the person got offended. Soon that person pulled out a gun and shot her. She fell into a coma before telling me the person's name." I told them everything that Ally said to me. I was completely dehydrated. The detective was about to speak as I was reaching for the Deer Park water bottle.
"Okay. Did she tell any other features of the suspect?" She questions. I shook my head. "Does anybody else know? Is there anyone that can find the missing piece of this case to solve it all?" She questions me again. I, once again, shook my head. But then I remembered that Camila said she found out from Jade. Maybe she knows.
"Wait! I know one more person. She's my girlfriend's ex. She called one of my friends and and told us she was shot. Maybe she knows who did it." I say at the last moment as Maleah was leaving the room. "Find her and get her here. You can go now Ms. Hamilton." She tells me then she leaves the room. I soon leave and go home.
