I was at the doctors talking well rather, arguing with him.
"We did the test times, its accurate." My doctor said sympathetically. I started to cry again, I never thought I'd ever have cancer, this is too much!
"This is curable, but you have to take this medicine once a day and use your pumps every two hours. If you do this for about 6 months, it'll be cured."
I stopped crying and looked up, "it's just that easy."
"Perhaps, but you have to be on top of your times, use a timer if you have too. Come back in a month to get your refill, have a nice day ladies."
We left out. "You hungry?" My girlfriend asked me. I nod and we get some wings and head back home.
When we get there, Alren is sitting on the couch talking.
"There she is, my bestie!" They said as they ran up to us and hugged us, Lauren hugged Dinah and Ally hugged me.
We chuckled. "Staying strong," Ally said as she put up her fists. I chuckled, "trying to."
//The next day//
"Normani, babe, it's time for you medicine! Also it's time for school."
I groaned and sat up and checked the time, it was 8:15am, yeah I'd should probably be getting ready by now.

After I went downstairs Dinah handed me a pill and a cup of water. I smile and take the pill and drink the water.
"Here, you gotta eat healthy too," my girlfriend said, handing me a smoothie. I thanked her and began to drank the smoothie, soon making a very sour face.
Dinah laughs, "I know it's nasty but you have to eat it babe."
"I know honey, but the struggle, is a mean motherfucker."
::Second period::
As I was doing my work in class, I was stopped by my phone flashing.
Baby girl💕🌸: 9:47am- don't forget at 10:05am you have to use your asthma pump..!
I left her on read, I know she really cares but damn, I know!
~Lunch~
I got my food and sat down with my best friend, I was pretty mad so we was getting worried.
"What's wrong, 'Mani?" Ally asked me. "Nothing," I said as I lightly shrugged my shoulders. "I don't believe you," she said, unconvinced.
"Well then don't!" I exclaimed then walked out of the cafeteria, people are really starting to get on my nerves.
I decided to just skip third period and take a walk in the park, you know, clear my mind?
As I reach a bench my phone started ringing. It read 'Lo🌹' so I answered it.
Lauren- hey 'mani where are you?
Normani- I wanted to skip and take a walk, I had a rough day
Lauren- what happened
Normani- you wouldn't get it
Lauren- you don't know that
Normani- (sighs) okay, every since I've got this lung cancer this everyone had been on my ass so much and it's starting to be annoying I know they care but if this is how you care then don't care at all
I started to sniffle, I flinched as soon as I heard a loud sigh come out my speaker.
Lauren- I understand, just like when me and Camila broke up, everyone was trying to be noisy but claim it's 'comforting me' and then pressured me to apologize do this and do that and- and I just hated it
Normani- exactly
The phone was silent for about five minutes.
Lauren- how about we have a girls day tomorrow, it's a Friday, just you and me, I see we have a lot more in common than you think
Normani- (chuckles) true, yeah I'd like that
Lauren- alright girl were about to go to last period so come back..!
Normani- okay
I hung up the phone and came back to school.

I came in and saw Dinah on the couch doing some homework.
"Hey babe," she said as she stood up and pecked my lips, "I was looking for you."
"I walked with Lauren, me and her have a lot in common!"
