"DEAN," CASTIEL SAYS, WALKING out of the bathroom. "I think it got to me."

Dean gives the other hunter a look. "What are you craving?"

"Not just one thing. Is that possible?"

"Actually, it is," Sam informs, flicking through the book on the table. "Very rare though."

"Cas," Dean says, punctuating each word he says. "What are you craving?"

     "I'm craving red meat."

"What else? Don't lie to me."

Dean takes one look at the angel and knows that there is something not right with him. The desperate look in his blue eyes sends shivers through Dean's body. Sam looks at the two and eventually gives into the unyielding temptation to read Castiel's thoughts. The angel's eyes widen slightly at the thoughts running through the younger male's head, and he looks at the unknowing older male. Castiel looks at Sam in confusion and gets a knowing look in return, making the hunter's worry spike.

"I'll go stop Famine," Sam says. "Stay here and watch Castiel, Dean."

Dean looks at his brother. "Sam-"

"Tell him, Cas. I'll be back soon."

     "Sam!"

The flannel wearing angel vanishes with the sound of flapping wings and the green-eyed hunter curses him over and over, continuously coming up with random insults. Castiel watches Dean with wide eyes as the older male almost yells himself hoarse, and decides to leave him to it while the younger male tries to fight both cravings he is being faced with. A wave hits him and he stumbles, bumping into the cupboard and making a loud enough ruckus that Dean looks over at him.

Dean helps him up. "You alright, Cas?"

Castiel tries to ignore how close they are. "Yeah. I'm fine."

     "What's this other craving?"

     "You're going to hate me."

Castiel pulls away from the older hunter and walks over to his bed. He buries his head into his pillow as he lands on the bed, and he lets out a groan at the need pulsating through his body. Dean watches his companion for a moment before he gets the feeling that Famine is going to send demons after them. He draws a Devil's Trap under the carpet and puts the carpet down a split second before the door opens.

The demons stalk into the room and Dean backs away as they advance. They stop all of a sudden and the hunter smirks, the female growling angrily at him. Dean catches the glint of light reflecting off a silver knife out the corner of his eye and grabs Castiel's wrist before the younger hunter can kill the demons. Dean looks at Castiel's desperate expression and knows that he has the leverage to get the answers he needs and wants.

"No, Cas," Dean warns. "You're not having them."

Castiel's eyes flicker to his brother. "Dean, please."

     "What's the other craving?"

"Screw you, Dean! You're using this as leverage!"

     "Tell me."

     "You."

     "What..?"

     "You heard me. It's you."

Bright light flies from both demon's eyes and mouths as Sam smites them. He looks between the two, noticing that there is not longer the desperation in Castiel's eyes that he saw earlier; instead, there is fear. Sam looks at Dean and sees shock and confusion clear in his brother's eyes. The angel then realises that Castiel told Dean what his second craving was. Sam quietly walks over to Castiel's abandoned bed and sits down, turning invisible to witness what is about to happen.

"I don't understand, Cas," Dean says, running a hand through his hair.

Castiel scoffs. "What don't you get, Dean? Why it was you?"

     "Actually, yeah. I'm just me."

"You're an amazing person, Dean. You've always been there for me, and I've never even thanked you for that. You've saved my life over and over, and that's something I can never repay you for. There's nothing I wouldn't do for you, and I know it's the same for you. There is nothing wrong with you, Dean. You're perfect to me, and that's the truth. I wouldn't change a thing about you. I love you for who you are, Dean. Don't ever think otherwise."

"You have no idea how long I've waited for you to say something like that, Cas."

     "Dean, what-"

Castiel gets cut off by the other hunter kissing him, Castiel kissing him back almost instantly. Before it gets much further, Sam becomes visible and makes the eldest Winchester jump a mile. Sam laughs and rolls his eyes at the glaring hunter. It is then that Castiel and Dean realise that Sam saw the whole exchange, and Dean gives the angel a look that makes said angel shrug and give a cheeky grin that neither hunter knew existed until then.

     "Screw you, Sam," Dean growls.

Sam tilts his head. "I do believe that Castiel is the one that is going to be screwed."

Castiel chokes on saliva. "Wait. What? Sam!"

Dean looks at Castiel. "You better be good."

"Just you wait and find out."
