First of all, many websites I have looked at for this anime have translated it to 'demon' for the English (subbed) version of it, but it is actually translated to 'devils' in the dubbed version.
Second of all, I much prefer Kazama and Chizuru than her and Hijikata. They just seem more... right for each other. That's for lack of a better word.

KAZAMA'S WORDS ARE RINGING in my mind, and not just the ones from yesterday.

"Female Devils are precious. Come with us."
"Chizuru is far too much for you. So we're taking her with us. That's all. There's nothing you can do."
"We'll be back for you in the near future. So look sharp, little one, and just keep waiting for us."
That night is still fresh in my mind, and it sends chills down my spine. What did he mean by my being a Devil? That still confuses me, and there is no doubt that my curiosity will not be quenched until I can understand what Kazama meant by that.
When he said that female Devils were precious and held out his hand toward me, I was tempted to take it. The warmth that filled me when he said those words was welcoming, and promised a world where I would not have to hide any part of me.
