THE THING IS, IN a world where humanity is fighting titans in order to survive, nothing is ever straightforward - especially the feelings an individual holds within their beings. Training and joining a regiment, that's one life you can choose. The other is to live within one of the two remaining walls - Rose and Sina. Wall Maria fell to the Titans five years ago and shook what remains of humanity.
Since then, life has been almost hell for Eren Jaeger - a Titan Shifter - but not by his own volition. On the run from almost everyone, the teenager has been forced to leave his two best friends - Mikasa and Armin - behind in order to protect them. They don't know where Eren is - only Levi, a captain in the Survey Corp, knows exactly where to find the teenager, and, as it has been proven many times before, he is the only one able to control Eren.
Eren grumbles under his breath, scrubbing at the table. He's been cleaning all morning, and there's an ominous feeling arising in him that tells of the captain's return sooner rather than later.
