A few months ago, if someone were to tell me that I will be going out with Zachary Warner, an ordinary guy from my school, after all the drama in my love life, I would just look at them and call 'bullshit'.
But when you get Holly and Bridgette involved, it's not as 'bullshit' as it may seem.
It's Friday night and I'm sitting on my living room couch, surrounded by the two girls in question. They were trying to calm my nerves since they convinced me to ask Zachary to hang out tonight.
No matter how I'm trying to word the evening, it'll always be a date...
"Are you guys gonna have sex?"
"Have you lost your mind?!"
My thoughts came to an immediate halt when Holly's question came out of nowhere. It brought an uncomfortable silence in the room, especially since I had the house to myself for the weekend.
"You are overdue. You're a born again virgin!"
Bridgette laughed aloud and caused me to swear under my breath. I just rolled my eyes and sank down into the couch. My eyes were plastered on the T.V. screen. South Park was on Comedy Central tonight.
"So, what are the plans," Holly asked, ignoring the excessive swearing from the adult cartoon show.
"We're just gonna relax here at the house. Nothing... extravagant."
"Like going to a romantic cabin at Lake Kissable and having mad, passionate se-"
"Okay, I think it's time for you to stop talking, Holly," I interrupted and jumped up. Checking my watch, I began to get assertive, "And it's time for you two to leave!"
"Awe, but we wanted to stay!"
I shook my head at Bridgette and began shooing them out the door. Their reluctance began giving me headaches, but they eventually left.
Time ticked away, until seven o'clock hit. That's when everything slowed down to a crawl.
There was a light knock on the door and I took a deep breath. I needed it. I wanted to make a good standing impression on Zachary Warner. I mean, I think he already likes me or something. I don't know. I don't understand these boys anymore.
I opened the door and there he was. Being emphasized by the moonlight in his shining glory. His brown hair so naturally quaffed and tucked. Black polo shirt clinging tight to his figure and slim faded blue jeans that fits snuggly to his rear to his ankles. The low cut black polo shoes were cute too.
Those irresistible blue eyes gazed at me anxiously waiting, like a vampire lusting to come inside.
"Good evening."
I could only reply by eyeballing the shit out of his flawless face and damn near perfect body. I only hoped that I wasn't drooling. That would be fucking embarrassing right about now.
"Uh," he chuckled lightly and it broke my concentration, "may I come in?"
"Oh yeah! Of course!"
I opened the door further and stepped out of the way. As he walked passed me, whatever scent he was wearing caught my attention. It smelled like... darkness and masculinity. So mysterious, but so addictive.
Zach sat meticulously on the couch, before relaxing a bit. Was he nervous as well? It was refreshing to finally meet someone who didn't have it all together. Who acted human, just like me.
"Would you like something to drink?"
"A Sprite if you have it."
"One Sprite, coming up!"
