Ever wonder if angels existed? A lot of people believe in them, others don't, unless they have some sort of near death experience and suddenly feel like an angel has saved them. Coming from a family of angels, I never had any doubts. We were sent to Earth to protect people from all things supernatural, until I met Scott McCall and his pack. My family was upset that I had became friends with supernatural creatures as it was against the rules. I tried to explain that Scott and his friends were good people, who were also doing the same thing we were, protecting people from the supernatural, but my parents refused to listen. Instead, they gave me an ultimatum, my family or my friends.

I was put between a rock and a hard place. If I left my parents, I would be a disgrace to my kind and my wings would turn black. But something told me I had to go with Scott. So I listened to my gut instinct and accepted my black wings. Scott welcomed me into his home and pack with open arms. I lost touch with my family and any of my kind. With black wings there was only so much I could do. I didn't have my full powers to heal and protect people, but I still had my grace. Joining Scott's pack was the best decision I ever made. I didn't regret it for a second. It led me to great friends and honestly, it led me to someone special in my life. Like all relationships, my love life was complicated.

"Kira..." I froze in place as my hand flew to my chest. "Something..." I groaned at the unbearable pain that spread throughout my chest, making me hunch over.

"What's wrong?" She rushed over to my side.

"Something's wrong," I managed to say before I let out a painful scream. "Kira... Someone's in trouble."

She immediately pulled out her cell and called Scott. "He's not answering."

"Try Stiles." I groaned. Kira nodded as she dialed his phone number.

As the pain increased, I closed my eyes and a vision appeared behind my eyelids. The picture was clear in the middle and slowly faded out, making the edges blurry. It almost seemed like a dream sequence you see in movies.

I saw Theo shove his claws into Josh's chest, the same spot where pain was shooting in my chest.

My eyelids flew open as I gasped for air. "Kira! We have to go! I gotta save Josh!"

Kira pulled up to an old abandoned warehouse in the woods just outside Beacon Hills. It was extremely dark with the exception of one light turned on inside the warehouse on the far left side of the building. Kira turned off the car and turned around to look at me, "how do you know about this place?"

"Josh told me," I whispered.

"You don't look so good."

I chuckled. "I don't feel good... probably because Josh doesn't..."

Kira quickly unbuckled her seatbelt and got out of the car. She rushed over to the passenger side and opened the door for me. "Do you need some help?"

I nodded and winced. "Kira, I'm feeling weak..." I inhaled a shaky breath. "Which means Josh needs us... we have to hurry."

"Okay, come on," Kira wrapped one arm around my waist and held on to my hand that was hanging over her shoulder as my arm wrapped around the back of her neck. I leaned on her for support as she walked through the door. "Do you know where you're going?"

"No, but my guess? The left side of this place," I groan, feeling another wave of pain. "Hurry, Kira."

Kira led the way with me hobbling by her side. She took a couple of turns down some empty and creepy hallways until we finally saw a soft yellow glow underneath a closed door.

"Almost there," Kira huffed. She leaned me against the wall before kicking the door open like a total badass.

A small gasp escaped her lips as she looked through the open doorframe. She quickly grabbed me and walked us inside. My eyes immediately landed on Josh, who was lying on the floor with a small puddle of blood. I shook my head as my heart dropped to my stomach. "No, no, no," I whispered to myself. An agonizing groan escaped from the back of my throat as I knelt down and cradled Josh's head between my hands.

"This wasn't suppose to happen," I said with a quivering lip. "We were supposed to be together," I closed my eyes, feeling a warm tear slowly falling down my cheek and drop to his cheek. I leaned forward, pressing my lips on his forehead for a soft kiss. "I love you, Josh."

I pressed my forehead to his and held him as tight as my weak body would let me. Kira didn't know Josh and I were together. No one knew as we kept it among ourselves. With the bad blood between Scott and Theo's pack, we had to keep it a secret. As much as I hated keeping a secret from my friends, I didn't care. I fell in love with Josh. Somewhere between all the sneaking around, sharing our secrets and dreams, and talking about our lives together, I fell in love with him. He did too when he gave me a necklace with silver wings and said this was sort of like a promise ring. Except he didn't want to get me a ring knowing it would have people questioning about it. With a necklace, no one thought anything of it other than it was cute, which worked in our favor.

"Y/N!" Kira's loud voice pulled me out of my thoughts. I lifted my head and looked at her. She looked at me with wide eyes. "He's breathing and your wings... they're glowing pink."

"What?" I ignored the pink glow lighting the room and looked down at Josh. His chest was slightly rising and falling slowly. I placed my hand on top of his heart and felt a faint heartbeat. In a matter of seconds, his heart was slowly beating faster and stronger. At the same time, my body was getting stronger and I could feel my wings getting fuller, no doubt stretching out in full display.

Josh's eyelids flew wide open as he gasped for air and sat up straight. I quickly crawled in front of him and placed my hands on his cheeks. "Josh...?"

His hand reached for my elbows, holding me tight. "I heard you... I love you, too." He smiled with warm tears in his eyes.

A mixture of a chuckle and sob escaped from the back of my throat as I wrapped my arms around Josh and pulled him in for a hug. His arms immediately wrapped around my waist tightly, pulling me closer to him if that was even possible.

"Whoa," I heard Kira's voice in awe. "That's so cool!"

I pulled back and noticed my new pink wings had covered Josh and I as if we were protected from the world like a butterfly in a cocoon.

Josh looked up. "Babe, your black wings... they're pink."

A small smile formed on my lips as I took Josh's cheeks between my hands and brought him to look at me. I locked my eyes with his, "An angel can only get pink wings when they save and bring back their true love."

"What? How is that even possible?" He asked confused.

"Honestly, I have no idea. I've heard stories but they're all different. Everyone gets their pink wings differently, but somehow with the same concept, saving their true love."

Josh's lips tugged up. "True love, huh?"

"I hope that's okay," I bit my bottom lip.

He lifted my chin up with his index finger and thumb as he leaned in with that perfect smile of his to kiss me. "That's more than okay."
