Warning: Getting injured (more specifically getting your throat ripped out.)

The smile on Aiden's face grew wider as he walked down the hallway and saw Y/N at the end, rummaging through her locker. With the idea to scare her in mind, he was so thankful she wasn't like him: a werewolf with incredible hearing.

Students in the hallway began to rush towards their class as the warning bell rang. Aiden weaved in and out, making his way towards Y/N, who now had her head in her locker.

"Where is it?" She asked herself, looking for her small planner as she pushed loose paper out of the way between books. The tardy bell rang. "Great... I'm late."

At that moment, being completely caught up in her own world, Aiden's hands reached in and tickled Y/N's sides, causing her to let out a small shriek. She turned around to see Aiden laughing hysterically with his hand on his stomach.

"Aiden! What the hell is wrong with you? You gave me a heart attack!" She placed her hand above her racing heart.

"I'm sorry," Aiden wiped the tears from his eyes. "I saw the perfect opportunity to scare you and I couldn't help myself."

"I'll get you back."

"I'd like to see you try, babe," he teased, making her cheeks turn rosy. He took a step closer, trapping her in between his arms as he placed his hands against the lockers. He could hear her heart rate picking up and couldn't help but smirk.

"I know I make your heart race..." Aiden held back a moan as Y/N bit her bottom lip. He found it incredibly sexy. If she was going to tease him, he was going to do the same to her. He leaned in and ghosted his lips over the shell of her ear, "but there are other ways I can make your heart race... Just like I did the other night."

Y/N closed her eyes as the memory of her and Aiden under the sheets in her bed, their legs tangled, arms wrapped around one another against their naked bodies ran across her mind. It wasn't planned. It just sort of happened and she knew as much as she liked him, it couldn't happen again. Not when they're on opposite sides.

She took a deep breath before fluttering her eyes open, meeting Aiden's gaze. "What happened the other night was just a one-time thing. It won't happen again." She pushed herself out of Aiden's arms and closed her locker door.

"Come on," Aiden followed her as she made her way to her class and keeping up with her pace. "You and I both know that night wasn't a mistake."

She stopped in her tracks and quickly turned to face him. Aiden stumbled back, surprised by her quick movements. "I never said that night was a mistake."

"I didn't mean-"

"Do you think that night was a mistake?" She interrupted him, suddenly feeling like he didn't enjoy that night as much as she did, or worst, regretted it.

"No," Aiden reached in for her hand. "You know that night wasn't a mistake. You know it wasn't just a 'wham, bam, thank you, ma'am' kind of night." He leaned in and whispered softly, "You know you're more than just that, Y/N."

She wanted to lean in and kiss him, wrap her arms around his neck as he pushed her against the lockers. Except, that couldn't happen. She was in Scott's pack and he was in Deucalion's. Their packs were against each other and if the two of them started a relationship, it wouldn't work out. Lines would be blurred, betrayal would ensue, and someone would get hurt in the end. Whether it was physically or emotionally. She knew nothing good could come out of her and Aiden being together.

"I'm sorry, Aiden, but we can't do this... whatever this is."

She turned on her heel, ready to walk to class, only to be stopped as Aiden wrapped his hand around her wrist. "Why not?"
