Warning: Mentions of losing someone, sadness, but also fluff!

From a block away, Y/N heard Aiden's motorcycle making its way back home. She quickly stacked up the video games on top of the coffee table. She double-checked if she had everything ready. Bowls filled with snacks were also on the coffee table. Underneath the coffee table was a huge photo album. Given today was the anniversary of Ethan's death, Y/N planned to somehow take Aiden's mind off the sadness that comes with losing someone, but remember the good and happy memories Aiden had of Ethan. She only hoped her plan would work.

"Baby?" Aiden called out as he opened the front door. "I'm home."

Like an excited puppy to see his owner finally coming home, Y/N rushed over to Aiden. The sound of her small feet pattering against the wooden floorboards caused his lips to grow a small smile on his face knowing she was about to lunge at him with a hug.

Y/N didn't slow down as she turned the corner from the hall. As Aiden expected, she lunged forward, wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist. Aiden immediately caught her and wrapped his arms just under her butt.

"It's about time," she said in between sweet and short kisses.

Aiden chuckled. "I'm sorry, baby. I know I'm usually off on the weekends, but my boss called me in for a couple of hours. What was I supposed to do?"

Y/N sighed knowing it wasn't his fault he had to go into work. "I wish I was your boss because Lord knows what I would have you do for me." Her fingers trailed up his chest in a teasingly way.

Aiden grins. "You and I both know we'd never get any work done if that were the case."

"And your point is?" She smiled innocently.

Aiden chuckled as he shook his head. He leaned in once more to give her another quick kiss before putting her down. "I think I'm just going to go change, be a lazy bum, and watch ESPN all day."

Y/N immediately shook her head. "I have the entire afternoon planned for us."

"Baby, I really don't feel like going out today," his tone had a hint of softness mixed with sadness.

She shook her head again as she grabbed his hand and led the way to their shared bedroom upstairs. "I started cleaning the house this morning-"

"Oh no," Aiden groaned. "Did you break something again?"

Y/N rolled her eyes. "That was one time and who puts a glass bowl at the top of the closet?" She turned around and glared at Aiden.

"Baby, that was a hideous house warming present from Isaac. We were never going to use it so I hid it in the closet." He answered as she opened the bedroom door.

"I hope you learned your lesson to never hide anything in the closet from me," Aiden nodded. She went back to her point. "Anyways as I was saying, I ended up cleaning the closet and I found something."

Aiden swallowed hard, already having an idea what she might have found.

"So, change into something comfortable because we're staying in." She turned on her heel and walked back towards the bedroom door.

"Wait," Aiden called out, causing her to stop just before she reached the door. "What are you up too?" He raised an eyebrow at her.

A huge smile hugged her lips, "that's a surprise! Now hurry up! Don't keep me waiting!" She called out before closing the door behind her. Aiden couldn't help but chuckle at her adorableness.

Within a few minutes, Aiden had changed into a pair of grey sweatpants and a black cotton shirt, and met Y/N who was waiting for him at the bottom of the stairs.
