It's the Monday after Y/N's date with Jackson. He had taken her out bowling, which surprised her. She thought they go on a typical movie date, but Jackson wanted to talk and get to know Y/N. He thought bowling would be the perfect first date and it was. They talked, they laughed, and flirted with one another. Jackson even tried to show her how to bowl in the first try, but she ended up surprising him with a strike. Jackson didn't care that she beat him. He genuinely had a good time and it was because of her.

Y/N had a great time too. In fact, she considered her first date with Jackson, the best first date she'd been on. It was light and simple. There wasn't too much pressure to try and make an impression. Nor were there any awkward silence moments with him. Being with him felt so natural to her. She felt like she could be herself around Jackson and she liked that she was comfortable around him.

When the night ended, Jackson wanted to kiss her at her front door. He wondered how her full pink lips would feel against his thin chapped lips. He wondered if her lip-gloss tasted like watermelon or strawberries. Instead, she leaned in for a hug and thanked him for a great first date. Jackson asked her if she'd like to go out on another date. She said yes before she leaned in, kissed his cheek, and said good night.

Y/N wanted to kiss him, almost for the same reasons as Jackson's. She wanted to see how perfectly his thin lips would mold against hers. If his lips would release the butterflies she had at the pit of her stomach all night and see fireworks when she closed her eyes. Except, she didn't because she had a rule that she believe in; don't kiss on the first date. She read it on a magazine once; it leaves the guy wanting more. She's not one to play games, but she was willing to do whatever she had to do to get Jackson to like her back.

As usual, Y/N walks into the library after school, only to find it completely empty and a bunch of carts filled with books. No one had shelved anything today, which meant having more to do as students brought in books they had over the weekend. Y/N sighed as she put her backpack and purse away, and walked towards the first cart, only to be surprised by a red rose. She looked around and noticed the library was still empty. She had no idea who had left it there. She picked it up and brought it to her nose, taking in the sweet scent. She smiled and placed it on the top counter. She grabbed a couple of books and went around the cart, making her way towards the proper shelf. She stopped in her tracks as she noticed a trail of red rose pedals towards the direction of the shelf she was headed towards. She followed the rose petals, only to be met with another rose on top of books in one of the shelves.

"What the hell?" She grabbed the second rose. It was very similar to the first one she saw. She turned around and saw more rose petals leading to a different direction around the shelf. Against the terrible gut feeling she has, she followed the path of rose petals. "This better not be how I die," she told to herself as she grabbed the third rose on another shelve and kept following the path of roses.

"I can promise you, this isn't how you're going to die," Jackson stood in front of where the rose petals ended. In his hand he had 4 long red roses and a huge smile on his face. "Surprised?"

"What's all this?" She smiled.

"A rose for each day I've wanted to see you since our date." He answered.

"Jackson it's only been 3 days and you have four more roses in your hand." Her eyes flickered at the beautiful red roses in his hands.

"These four are for tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, the day after that, and, of course, the day after that one as well. One for each day until our next date." Jackson had slowly walked towards her after explaining each extra rose. "As for the rose petals, those are for how many times I've thought about you since Friday night."

"Only this many times?" She teased as Jackson handed her the roses.

"Well the day isn't over, I might get you some more by the end of the night." He teased back with a wink.

Y/N was definitely surprised. She's known Jackson for a while and she's never seen this side of him. She's heard rumors of how he is with girls, and she's seen what a big flirt he is, but he's totally proving everyone wrong. He's sweet, caring, and very thoughtful. She really loved those qualities. She leaned in and began playing with the button on his dress shirt. "You're so sweet. Can I return the favor?"

"Of cour-" Against everything the magazine told her, she pecked Jackson's lips three times. Jackson held his breath with his eyes still closed before asking, "What was that for?"

"A kiss for each day I've wanted to see you since our date.," she repeated his words as she cupped his cheek with her hand and pulled him in. "But there's one more," she whispered against his lips.

Her lips brushed against his, teasing him just a little bit. Jackson leaned in towards, but pulled back. He wanted nothing more than to kiss her, but he wanted her to make the first move. He didn't want to kiss her unless she wanted to be kissed. Y/N closed her eyes and molded her lips against his. Jackson didn't waste anytime kissing her back, immediately tasting her strawberry lip balm.

The kiss was long, but gentle, and definitely passionate. It was enough to release the butterflies Y/N had in her stomach and see fireworks. She wrapped her arms around Jackson's neck and began fiddling with his hair at the nape of his neck. Jackson kept his hands firmly at her hips, trying not to rush into the kiss. He wanted so much more. Normally, he would have already traced the bottom of her lip and shoved his tongue in her mouth, and pin her against the shelf, pressing his body against hers. Except, he didn't want to do that. Sure, he wanted to deepen the kiss, but he didn't want to rush her. He wanted to take his time with her. He wanted to go as slow or as fast as she wanted. For the first time ever, he was letting a girl take control of the situation.

Y/N pulled back, leaving Jackson absolutely breathless. He felt like putty and he didn't mind she had that kind of affect on him. With his eyes still closed, high from the kiss, he cleared his throat. "What was that one for?"

She smiled. "That's for not kissing you at the end of the night when I should have."

Jackson's eyes fluttered opened and looked into her eyes deeply. He was awestruck. She was absolutely beautiful and he couldn't believe Y/N liked someone like him. There was something different about her. She wasn't like the other girls Jackson had known. She made him want to be a better person. The fact that he didn't force his tongue down her throat, proved he was already changing. Normally, he would have done it after the girl pulled away from their kiss, just like Y/N had seconds ago. He would have jumped right back into the kiss and turned it into a heated make out session for the hell of it. But he didn't. It's not that he didn't want to, because he totally did, but because he liked her so much, he respected her.

"I don't think there's isn't a cheesy pick up line or enough roses to show you how much I like you, and I know these next words I'm about to say are like the simplest words in the world, but I do mean them." He said with his eyes never leaving hers. "I really like you, Y/N."

"Good, because I really like you too, Jackson." She smiled.
