Chapter Nineteen: Yemini Coven

''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

I was sitting on the chair in Xhiani's room, she was sleeping still. I should be resting too but I wanted to see my daughter and not leave her side. Yes, the incident made me snap out of my processing mode as I went on full mommy mode.

I leaned forward, brushing her hair as I smiled down at her. She's grown so much, losing most of her growing up moments made me angry. I had missed what I always wanted to experienced but it wasn't her fault. She was still my daughter and needed me.

She shook a bit before she slowly opened her eyes, turning her head to look at me. I gave her a short smile, "Hey baby." I brushed her hair as I stared at her. "Mommy." She whimpered out, "Sh, it's okay baby. Don't panic. You're okay."

I stood up from the chair and sat on the bed, bringing her toward me as she rested her head on my chest, scooting over so I was sitting right on the bed as I wrapped my arm around her. She curled up against me and I brushed my fingers through her hair.

"In a perfect storybook the world is brave and good. A hero takes your hand, a sweet love will follow." I sang softly to her as I kept brushing her hair, my other hand touching her hand. "But life's a different game, the sorrow and the pain. Only you can change your world tomorrow."

"Let your smile light up the sky. Keep your spirit soaring high. Trust in your heart and your soul shines forever and ever. Hold fast to kindness, your light shines forever and ever. I believe in you and in me. We are strong."

I wrapped my arms around her as I leaned down to kiss her forehead, her breathing softly as she slept peacefully. "When once upon a time in stories and in rhyme. A moment you can shine and wear your own crown. Be the one that rescues you. Through the clouds you'll see the blue."

"Trust in your heart and your soul shines forever and ever. Hold fast to kindness, your light shines forever and ever. I believe in you and in me. We are strong. A bird all alone on the wind, can still be strong and sing, sing."

I moved away slowly and rested her head on the pillow, picking up the sheets as I pulled it over her. "Trust in your heart and your soul shines forever and ever. Hold fast to kindness, your light shines forever and ever. I believe in you and in me. We are strong ."

I brushed her hair and leaned down to kiss her forehead, stepping away from her as I put the chair back where it was. I made my way toward the door and got out, closing the door behind me. "How is she? Are you okay? You should be resting." My mother said as she touched my arms, brushing it up and down.

I sighed, "I know mom, but I can't. She's too little to have that much power. That's what worries me, I can't. Our family, has so much enemy and I just can't." I shook my head as tears filled my eyes.

"What are you talking about Yemini?" My mother asked worried and I sucked in my bottom lip as I glanced up at my mother, "Scar is working for Vixon, he is Vixon's grandson and Xhian's cousin."

"What!" My mother hissed out quietly, looking around as she pulled me away. "Does my sister know this? She was so pissed about Tatiana's relationship with Scar, she knew that there was something wrong about Scar and warned her, but she didn't listen. I will call her now."

My mother turned around as she pulled her phone out, dialing my aunt. "Winter, we need to talk." My mother started to say. "What? What do you mean Tatiana didn't come home last night?" She turned around to face me. "No, she's not with Yemini, but you have to know something."
