Chapter Eight: Cotton Candy Mission Part Three

I cover my mouth in horror as I can feel Natsu's strong arms shake on me. "What the hell is that thing..." He hisses quietly as I cover my eyes from preventing me to see any more of that gastric sight. "...Juvia doesn't know...b-but...what kind of a mission did the council send to Fairy Tail?" I whisper to him as he swallows hard, and buries his face into his scarf around my neck. "I don't know...but whatever that thing is, we have to beat its butt!" He says as I nod, and he is about to jump into battle.

"Natsu don't!" I then quietly put a water bubble around his head as he holds it like he did when we first met, he was asking me who I was. "We can't just jump into battle...didn't you see what that...thing...did to..." Natsu sighs as he nods, and deep down, I know he's afraid too. I disperse the water bubble as he sighs and sits down. "Normally, missions like these aren't...no...nothing compares to this." Natsu sighs as I try to swallow away my fear. "Believe me, Natsu. Juvia is equally afraid." I whisper.

Natsu nods as he steps forward, and his foot shifts forward, as he steps.

CRACK!

My eyes widen as I look at his foot, seeing he has stepped on a branch, and it has snapped into pieces. The beast growls lowly as his ears perk, and in that instant, both me and Natsu knew...that the monster was now going to come after us. It lets out a shrill screech with a mixture of a shriek as Natsu looks up at me, and picks up his feet as he dashes toward me and lunges himself forward as he pins me down.

My head hits the ground, as the monster jumped, and lands safely on the tree. It was aiming after me. I gasp, holding onto Natsu's shoulders as he then gets defensive. "Juvia, run! Flee!" He says as I stand my ground. "No! Juvia can fight too! She won't leave your side!" I say as I prepare my Water Slicer.

"FIRE DRAGON ROAR!!!!!!!"

"WATER SLICER!!!!!"

However, the beast continues to go, even after Natsu and I threw moves at it. A sweat bead drops from Natsu's forehead. "Damn it!" He says as I put us in a prison lock and pant.

"Juvia fears that this monster won't be affected with our moves..." I say as Natsu growls and covers his face. "Damn...it..." I gulp, maybe one on one would...I'd just have to avoid being eaten. I jump out of the Water Lock, leaving Natsu inside, as he looks at me in horror at to what I plan to do. Raising my fists high, I throw a punch at the beast as I stare into its eyes, it was then I realize, that would be one of the biggest mistakes I would ever possibly make. I could see hell in the eyes.

He tilts his head as he then punches my chest, and my head falls back, and my eyes widen, as something deep inside me is moving, feeling pain that I have never felt before. It was then I'd see, my blue soul coming out of me, as my ears ring of an eerie whistle, and Natsu screams at the top of his lungs.

"JUVIA!!!"

I can't feel my body.

I can't move.

I have died.

In the very form of my soul, I rush over and kick the beast, and he screeches in pain, and I back off.

My body collapses onto the ground, as I quickly plunge back, but I am still unconscious.

"Weak. Pathetic. Frail. Idiotic."

Beep.

The noise of a loud beeping fills my ears, and it won't go away. I moan and groan as I then hear talking.

"But Gramps! I want to stay here with Juvia! I don't want to leave her!"

"Calm down Natsu! Right now is not the time to make a huge fuss! Now go!"

"But..."

"Natsu, you heard the master we have to go."

"Okay Erza...."

"Same goes for you Laxus, you have to go!"

"But Lucy..."

My eyes shift open, finally after struggling to, and I see Natsu, Laxus, Erza, and the Master. "Ohh..." I hold my head as I sit up and look at them, before squeezing my eyes shut and opening them again once more. "Juvia!" Natsu smiles as he pats my head, and I see he is still wearing my hat. I blush, looking at my neck to see the scarf, and I am wearing only a black tank top and a black bra, and I turn red, knowing that I might just only be wearing underwear under the covers.

"I want all of you to leave now. I want a moment with Juvia and Lucy only. Then, I shall talk to you two, Natsu and Laxus." Everyone takes their leave, as Natsu gives me one last look. I blink, realizing Master had said Lucy too, and she lays there smiling at me. "Hey Juvia...you too, huh? Again..." She groans as I nod softly. "Juvia saw a black ugly weird thing..." I say laying back down as Lucy nods, wrapping Laxus' big sweater around her as she lays there. "It hurts...it hurt so bad to be attacked..."

Master looks at us as he jumps up onto a stool twice his size. "These...beings...what are they..." Master closes his eyes. "I want you two to describe them both, afterwards when I get you food and medicine. But you both shall stay here in the infirmary and rest up. What mission that happened shall not be spoken about. But I will report this to the council for allowing such a horrible mission to Fairy Tail." He says as Lucy and I nod as he takes his leave. I lay back down, holding the ends of the scarf.
