Chapter Thirty Six: Fire hurts Water

I didn't want to talk to anyone about the presents, especially the book of Zeref. Who was Zeref? What is Zeref? Why did Zeref, want to give me gifts? Maybe Zeref is a store far away from here, and that's where my secret admirer keeps buying the stuff from. Yeah right, Juvia keep lying to yourself...You've already had nasty naughty dreams about him, so obviously he's real. But that's the thing. I don't know who Zeref is!

"Rain girl." I jump from my seat as Gajeel stares at the two presents. "A mask and a book, how convenient." Gajeel mutters.

Levy squeals. "Two presents from your beloved! May I read the note?" Levy asks, as I nod, sliding the note over to her. She takes it and reads it as she squeals more. "Does Juvia always get secret admirers like this?" Totomaru asks, as Gajeel grunts. "Yeah, some loser keeps giving her stuff..." Gajeel mutters as I sigh. "Juvia has to go home, to clear her head." I say as Totomaru then grabs my hand. "Wait! We were going to do a mission as a team first!" He says, as I blink, seeing the three of them looking at me.

"Okay, Juvia guesses one mission isn't bad. But just one, after that, Juvia is going home." I say as my friends smile. "Oiiii, can I go with you guys on your mission!" A voice shouts. "NATSU-SAMA!" He smiles wide. "JUVIA-SAMA!" Gajeel kicks Natsu away before he can hug me, and ruins the moment. "Hell no! Go to your wimpy Team Natsu! Juvia is in Phantom Four, not Team Natsu!" Natsu growls as he quickly stands up. "What the hell was that for?!?! And what! I knew it when that one guy showed up he'd make you, Juvia and Levy join the Phantom Lord!"

Natsu growls as I sigh, and start to explain to him. "We are going to destroy the Phantom Lord guild once and for all, Natsu. Our team only has people that Phantom Lord either hurt the most or we were involved in the guild and want it to be destroyed." I say as Natsu crosses his arms. "That doesn't make sense! Then why is Levy with you guys in your team!" He says as Gajeel sighs. "Because...Phantom Lord...hurt Levy the most..." Gajeel says whisperingly. Levy looks at Gajeel. "Gajeel..." She says softly.

"Natsu-Sama..." I begin, slowly walking up to him, placing hands on his shoulders. "Juvia is sorry...but you have to stick in your team." I murmur, as our eyes strike each other deeply. Natsu's eyes widen as they then narrow. "I thought...I could be your friend..." His eyebrows furrow. "W-What?!" I look at him. His smile turns into a frown, as he grits his canines. "You are gloomy!" My eyes widen as Natsu's remain narrow. "Tch." He growls under his breath. "I knew I shouldn't have gotten close to you! You're not really happy! You're gloomy!" He growls.

"Wh-What are you saying?!" I ask, as he portrays no emotion. "We shouldn't have talked...we shouldn't have gone to our mission, I shouldn't have spent the night with you!" Natsu says, as I have a feeling that Gajeel's jaw had just dropped at the last part Natsu said. "What...where is this coming from!" I say as Natsu growls. "It's always about your life and team!" Wait, my team! "You're the one to talk, Natsu-Sam--FLAME BRAIN!" I shout. "For the rest of us here, it's always about you and your Team Natsu! Taking all the missions, leaving the rest of us to look like lower members! It's always about Team Natsu!" I snap. "Seriously?! Now you're dragging my team into this!" He growls as Levy adds, "You did bring up her team when she barely made one..." Natsu focuses on me, ignoring what Levy says. "You know something Juvia! My team only takes all the hard missions because the rest of you can't handle a hard mission!" Natsu growls as I bite my lip and ball my fists. "You're not sunshine and rainbows Natsu!" I growl as he growls back. "So I'm not Natsu-Sama anymore huh? Cuz it's all about 'Gray-Sama' when it comes to 'Juvia' because 'Juvia loves her Gray-Sama~!'" He shouts as I growl at him for making fun of me.

"Juvia is only trying to defeat Phantom Lord! Juvia doesn't want them to take her, Gajeel, or Totomaru back!" I say as Natsu responds lowly to contain his anger. "You..." He gruelingly says. "Huh?!" I look at him, before he raises his head, portraying his anger around his face. "You don't belong in Fairy Tail! Go back to Phantom Lord! They need their Phantom Queen! Because you will never be a Fairy girl, you'll always be a Phantom girl! YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER OF FAIRY TAIL!" He shouts as my eyes well up with tears. "FLAME BRAIN YOU TOOK IT TOO FAR!" Gajeel growls as Levy sighs. "Natsu...that was really mean!" Levy says as I look down, a shadow covering my eyes as I look down at my feet. I move forward, and take a few steps before I start running. "Juvia...wait!" Natsu gasps, realizing the cruel words he said to me, as I quickly slap him, to push him away, and I look at him, my tears streaming down my face. "You're right...Juvia will never be a Fairy Tail princess...she'll just be a Phantom Queen..."
