I love writing, don't you? Sitting down at a keyboard and controlling a non existant world. But it does exist, because it's yours. If you see what I see, you know that writers crave a certain power. We control our kingdoms, enter and mold our character's minds, and dictate their life and death. But what messages are we teaching?
How hypocritical of us is it that the very message we sometimes attempt to portray is a statement against power, a message trying to destroy control. But isn't that the very reason we adhere ourselves to the chair and type away in the first place? Isn't that what we strive to grasp as our hands fly over the keys, putting words into place that display. Power.
