Monday was a long day, and I was so happy when it was over! I had a ton of work in all my classes, and an extra long cheerleading practice. Not to mention it was my first day interning at Dynasty Records. The job was actually kind of cool, even though I didn't get to meet any artists yet. Gisele almost lost her mind when she saw Isis and Isaiah working together. I thought she'd ease up on me, but boy was I wrong. She just shunned Isis too. It was cool though, because I liked Isis and I didn't mind hanging out with her.
When I finally got home that evening, Mia was braiding Jermaine's hair. I almost didn't recognize him because I hadn't seen him in almost a year. He still looked exactly like Uncle Trey though, and he still had that long pretty hair. The boy must've been drinking a lot of milk, because he'd grown a good two to three inches.
"Jermaine, is that you?" I smiled as I walked into the den.
"The one and only." He replied, making Mia roll her eyes. "Wassup, Jasmine?"
"Just tired. Had a long day. Aunt Mia, is our okay if Bianca comes over to study?" I asked.
"Yeah, that's fine." She replied.
"Bianca, huh? Is she fine? Ouch, T! That hurt." He frowned as Mia smacked him in the back of the head. Mia was his step mom, but you'd never know it. She treated him exactly like the rest of her kids, and they had a really close relationship.
"How would you feel if someone talked about Tamia or Tia that way? Show some respect." Mia fussed. T.J started laughing. "Same thing goes for you, Jr."
T.J immediately stopped laughing. He was five years old and still thought girls had cooties, so he needed to learn a lot about respecting a female. Jermaine and Tamia looked exactly like their dad, but T.J and Tia looked like their mom. Tamia was the only one with Mia's hazel eyes though.
"Where are the girls?" I asked.
"With their daddy." Mia smiled.
"Uncle Trey's back?" I was happy to hear that. He'd been in Italy doing this season of America's Next Top Model. I was anxious to hear what he thought of Tyra Banks. I absolutely loved her.
"Yeah, they're upstairs." Mia answered. I went and put my things in my room before going to Tamia's room.
"Hey, Uncle Trey!" I smiled. He was still a handsome man. I saw why Mia kept popping out babies.
"Jazzy! How have you been?" He put Tia on the floor to come hug me. She immediately started fussing. "Aww, don't cry, punkin!"
Tamia rolled her eyes and walked over to the infant. They were both such beautiful girls. Mia had a perfect family, and I hoped some day I could have the same.
"She just misses her daddy." Tamia said, calming the baby down. She was almost nine, though she acted like she was twenty. She gave Tia to her dad.
"Thanks, princess." Trey kissed Tamia's forehead. And I thought I was a daddy's girl. These two were the biggest I'd ever seen. Mia called us all down for dinner, and I was so happy. I hadn't ate much all day, and I was starving.
"I like your braids, Maine." Trey complimented.
"Thanks, but I asked T Lady not to do them straight to the back. My head gone be all lumpy." He frowned.
"Boy, hush!" Mia laughed.
"That is real, bae!" Trey said, causing me to giggle. Mia gave him a look, and he quickly cleared his throat. "But you should be thankful you got your hair braided." He said sternly.
"I didn't mean to sound ungrateful, T Lady." Jermaine apologized.
"It's okay, honey. I was just tired and lazy." Mia smiled.
