The big white truck parked outside my house was catching quite a lot of attention.
But what caught even more attention was the company name on it: Murray Corporation.
I rolled my eyes. Trust dad to use every situation as a chance to advertise.
Mom had told me about his infatuation and obsession with money, but I used to think that she was only exaggerating because of her separation with him.
But ever since he showed me his true colours, I could see what she meant.
It had been almost a week since the day hell broke loose.
Hanna stayed well away from me. Chloe, Holly, Olivia and Natasha sensed something was up, but didn't get answers to their questions.
"Why isn't Hanna sitting with us today?" Natasha questioned as she watched Hanna walk past our table with her lunch tray and into the seat beside a smirking Xavier. I shrugged and attempted to divert the attention from her by changing the topic. I'm pretty sure they all realised what I was trying to do. Well, everyone except Holly. She was a little too busy drooling over a guy standing in a group with his mates. I recognised him as one of the guys Cameron hung out with. His white blonde hair made him stick out like a sore thumb.
Like I said, each one of them was charming. I don't know how Cameron managed to filter out the hottest guys from our school and bring them all together into a gang, but hell, he made it ten times easier for single girls to find her their next hot hook up.
I clicked my fingers in front of her face. She snapped out of her daze. "Damn, if he was a chocolate, I'd devour him first," she proclaimed. The rest of us just rolled out eyes. But then she narrowed hers as Stephanie sauntered over to the guy Chloe was eyeing and watched as she rubbed her body against his while trying to get him to put an arm around her.
It was clear as day that he was trying hard to subtly reject the attempts.
But that didn't stop the blonde bimbo. Her lavender miniskirt kept brushing against his cargo pants has she moved her leg against his.
It was truly disturbing.
I turned back to my food but instead, it was right in time to see Chloe get up with a wide-mouthed water bottle in her hand and dash towards the two. Olivia and I shared a panicked look before sprinting after her.
We were too late. In a matter of seconds, the lively cafeteria turned deathly silent as Chloe splashed her water all over Stephanie's skirt.
"What. The. Hell," Stephanie's voice was threateningly low, like the calm before the storm. But Chloe didn't flinch.
"Oh, nah I just, I sort of noticed how your skirt was sticking to his pants because of the friction caused due to the two materials rubbing against each other a little too much. I sorta helped your chastity out, because what would happen if your skirt went flying up because of too much friction, hmmm?"
Damn, never knew this red headed chick actually fit into the redhead stereotype.
Her white-blonde eye candy couldn't keep in his amusement. He howled with laughter, an action that went against his show of modesty earlier against Stephanie. His buddies joined in straight after.
Chloe's proud smirk only widened as she entered a stare-down against the reddening gold-blonde chick in front of her.
For some reason, instead of retorting to her, Stephanie picked me.
"Can't you put your dogs on a leash or something?" she growled. I only snickered. She was the one sounding like a dog.
"But then how would I get my entertainment from watching them screw your attempts in raping guys?" I couldn't help myself. The moment was too damn precious.
