Here we are back inside Grace's head!
*Looks around* My goodness, this girl has a huge mess in here! It looks like a train was set loose! Everything is jumbled, skirts and tops are thrown everywhere (Grace! What is happening?! You are usually so careful about your precious clothing!) and...are those...posters of Cameron?!
*Grace runs in* Out! Now!
I'm sorry sweetie, but I'm going to have to be here for a while, it is your turns to be harassed by me, after all *gives the sweetest smile*
Oh, and I was joking about the Cameron posters....or was I 😉😏
Okay, roll the chapter!
~ooooOOOoooo~
I itched to get out of the place. Three hours had passed since I finished unpacking, and I felt every. Single. Damn. Minute.
It was a fairly empty apartment, it only had minimal furniture such as a sofa, beds and a desk. The walls shone with a vibrance only newly constructed homes would have. The kitchen only had a coffee machine and a toaster, it made sense since dad rented the place pretty recently, and I doubted he had spent a complete day living here.
It had no welcoming aura, I felt extremely out of place. This was not my home, and I wanted out. Of course, what you want and what you can have has a thick line separating them.
Grumbling, I entered my room yet again.
'Grace, get used to it. Unless you die of extreme hatred, you'll legally be out in a few months.'
I jumped onto my bed, relieved that at least it was as similar to my old bed as it could get.
Mom had packed my bags for me. She put in all the necessary clothes I would need.
Speaking of clothes, I got a good, long scolding from her when I walked through the doors with Cameron's clothes on.
What I had said to Cameron about mom being chill about guys and getting laid...all lies.
I don't know why I had said that, maybe to help him feel less guilty about his...attack?
Or was it to make him think that I could be taken easily? But why did I want him to think that?
I shrugged. All I knew for sure about him was that every one of my thoughts concerning him were confused.
I pulled out my phone and dialled Hanna. In a few short rings, her voice sounded from the other end.
"Grace! How are ya? Last time I checked, you were looking dead and Cameron had to carry you away!" she muffled a laugh.
I groaned. "I thought best friends were supposed to stop guys like him from kidnapping each other!"
"Aww c'mon, don't be like that. I know you enjoyed it," her tone was suggestive. "You've always dreamed of seeing his place, right?"
"That was years ago. Now it's different. Enough about me, how'd it go with you? Apparently your ass was too drunk to take care of me."
"Oh, right!" she gasped as though she remembered something."I was going through my photos of last night, and guess what I found?"
"You were getting frenched? Or worse?" I guessed.
"A date! Xavier and I were at a fancy restaurant, and I subtitled the photo 'date'!"
"Wow. Just amazing what you can agree to when you're buzzed, Hanna." A sober Hanna would never approve of a date with that guy.
