~ooooOOOoooo~

"Yass! I really need Monday off!" Xavier whooped.

Hanna snorted. "Of course you do, keeping three girlfriends means having to go on three dates, and you need the public holiday for your third one."

"You wound me, thinking I would two time a girl," he faked a wince.

"Three-time a girl," she corrected while pointing her spoon at him.

Cameron groaned, as if the whole thing was too painful to listen to. "Bro, why do deny it? I saw you making out with a blonde right after that brunette!"

Hanna's eyes narrowed with disgust. I sniggered as I caught the brief twinkle of amusement in Cameron's eyes at snitching on the player.

"Dude! You don't just bullshit about me in front of her! I've been trying to make a move on her for so long!" Xavier jabbed. "Just messed up my years of hard work," he added with a grumble.

"You didn't get even this much closer since you began," Hanna retorted, pinching her index finger and thumb together.

He ran a hand through his hair and put on a smoulder. "Why don't we change that on Monday?"

"Nuh-uh," I inserted myself for the first time since the conversation started. "She's mine on Monday." I spooned the entire pudding into my mouth, only to realise Xavier giving me a bewildered look.

"You never told me that you-that her and you-"

"That's not what I meant, dimwit!" I couldn't believe that all he ever thought about was dating and other crap like that. He couldn't even process that there are other possible meanings to what I said.

"I mean, she's coming over for dinner at my place," I elaborated.

"I am?" Hanna questioned.

I nodded. "Mom's invited a guy and she said I can bring you too."

"Your mom's got a boyfriend?!" she shrieked. She too knew her stubbornness at getting hitched again.

"Technically no, but they are getting close," my smile turned smug and she too smirked.

"Am I allowed to fangirl throughout dinner and ship those two?" That basically told me she was up for the invite.

"As long as Chris doesn't get creeped out, then go for it! I'm probably gonna join too."

Ever since he reentered mom's life as a single man, she practically glowed. Her radiance made me smile; I hadn't seen her quite like this, ever. I was thankful to him for bringing this side of her out and I supported whatever kind of relationship they had.

When the bell rang, I got a glimpse of something familiar peeking out of Cameron's bag.

Xavier had rushed on ahead with Hanna, something about proving that he was only scheduled for one date.

"You've got one too?" I fell into Cameron's pace, walking by his side.

I was curious. With the recent revelations about him, I realised that it would make sense why he had one.

"Are you going to go?" I asked.

"I have to or the geezer is gonna shit out another blackmail." he growled. "Are you going?"

It was plain as day that my lineage was wealthy, my last name said it all.

I snorted. "When have I ever?"

"True, I've never seen you there."

"Mom used to find a way to keep me home, but this time, it's my choice not to go."
