Christmas/New Years bonus

"Daisy be careful," Bryana stressfully said, watching as the younger girl stood on the wobbly stool.

Luke, who was supposed to hold the stool steady, but that obviously didn't happen. Instead he was munching on the Christmas themed cookies Ashton and Daisy had baked together, watching with suspense as Daisy stretched.

She stood on her tip toes and stretched her arms out, and she nearly tipped and fell over, but she successfully set the star on top of the tree and went back to her normal composure. Michael let out a breath as Luke stuck his hand out for her and she jumped down.

The amazing smell of cookies hit Daisy and she couldn't help but yearn for one. But she wouldn't let herself have even a bite. In her mind she was fat enough and one cookie would make her feel like a disgusting whale. And it was tempting because everyone around her was eating.

Daisy picked the stool up and put it back where it belonged while Luke went to the kitchen to help Ashton put icing on the cookies. Calum and his girlfriend, Danielle, sat on the floor and played fetch. Michael and Malina were cuddled together on the couch, watching Home Alone on the TV.

Bryana munched on the cookie she had been eating while she watched Daisy put the star on the the tree (since Michael and Calum had broke the star the day before and the family had to get a new one). Daisy felt envious towards Bryana, who managed to eat anything and everything and remain skinny.

She didn't understand it. Daisy worked out, ran, didn't eat sugar or fatty foods, yet she saw a whale when she looked in the mirror.

"Guys hurry up! I want to open presents!" Calum whined.

"I'll be out in a few seconds!" Ashton called from the kitchen. He picked up the last batch of cookies and bent down to slide them into the burning oven. He stood back up to his full height and smiled at Luke, following him out into the living room.

Michael and Malina sat up and scooted over to make room for Dani and Calum, who practically threw themselves onto the couch. Luke sat on the floor in front of them and Ashton and Bryana sat next to them. Maya was included too, happily sitting in Bryana's lap.

"Pass out the presents, Daisy," Ashton said, nonchalantly draping his arm overBryana's shoulders.

Daisy nodded and started picking presents up for herself. She passed out numerous presents to Calum and Dani, Michael, Malina, Luke, Ashton, and herself; Maya was even given four wrapped presents. Once Daisy passed out all of the presents she sat down on the floor next to Luke and began to open hers. So far Ashton was given a new pair of drumsticks, Michael had been gifted a new video game and a hot topic gift card, Luke a guitar pick, Dani and Bryana gift cards for a nail salon, Malina jewelry, Calum some T-shirts, and Maya a new ball. Daisy opened a gift from Ashton and smiled upon seeing a photograph.

"Just something small," Ashton shrugged and goofily smiled.

It was the famous group picture that was taken at the beach on their "family" vacation. The one Daisy set as her lock screen and phone and hadn't changed since. Daisy couldn't wait to put it in her room.
