"Daisy?" I called up the stairs, balancing the pizza box in one hand. "Can you come down?"
I walked to the kitchen and set the pizza down, smacking Michael's hands away.
"Wait for Daisy." I warned. Calum and Like filled five cups with ice while Michael drooled over the food.
Daisy walked in, this time wearing leggings and a loose white shirt. Her thighs were so thin, but I thought nothing of it.
"I didn't know what you wanted for dinner, so I just ordered pizza." I told her.
"Oh.. I'm allergic to the sauce on pizza." she said, her green eyes looking into mine.
"Oh, um." I looked at Luke for help. "I didn't know that. Do you want something else?"
"No thank you. I'm not hungry." she smiled softly.
"Do you of least want a drink?" Calum asked.
"Water, please."
He pressed the drink against the water button on the fridge, watching the clear liquid fall into the cup.
We all got our pizza then sat at the table.
"Are you sure you don't want anything?" I asked again, watching Daisy's eyes wander around the room, avoiding our food.
"Yeah. I'm sure." she said.
After dinner Daisy was upstairs, leaving the boys and I alone.
"Am I the only one who thinks that was a little odd?" Luke asked, looking up from his phone.
Calum and Michael, who were sat at the island watching me clean the plants off, looked up too.
"Yeah." I said. "She's probably just nervous. You know how some people are so nervous they can't eat."
"Yeah, but -" Luke started, but the look I gave him caused him to stop his own sentence.
"How about we just wait it out. We've only known her for a day." Michael suggested.
I nodded and set the empty box in the trash.
"Now that we have a minor in here, bed time is at nine." I sternly said, causing all the boys to groan.
"Okay, okay. You don't have to be asleep at 9, but once it's 9 pm you have to be as silent as a mouse." I added. The boys nodded.
"We can do that."
"Shut up Luke, nobody asked you."
"Michael."
"Sorry.."

"Time for bed, kiddo." I poked my head into Daisy's room. She was in her closet, hanging her clothes up.
"Okay." she was already in pajamas, shorts and a long sleeved shirt which hung off her shoulder.
"Good night." I said, watching her settle into her bed. I lifted the covers around her.
"Good night, Ashton."
Michael walked by, heading to Calum's room so the two could play video games.
"Night, Daisy!"
Calum followed behind and told her goodnight. Luke popped in, said goodnight, then went the opposite way Michael and Cal did to his room.
Calum and I's rooms were on the left side of Daisy's room, while Luke and Michael's were in the right side.
I turned her light off, gently shut the door behind me, and went to my room.

I was shaken out of the horrible dream I had been trapped in. Ashton was kneeling over me, his eyes wide with worry.
"Daisy? Honey, are you okay?"
I heard crying, which took a few moments for me to figure out it was my cries.
"They left me." I sobbed, tugging at my hair.
"Sh, you're okay." Ashton gathered me in his arms, cradling us back and fourth. I cried in his chest, the screams of my sister calling for me still in my head.
Every time I closed my eyes I got a vision of her scared face in the car, driving farther and farther away.
Every time I gasped for air I smelt the rain that fell as I waited outside the orphanage.
I waited for my parents to come back, and laugh and joke around because they would never leave me. For two years I've been waiting.
That never happened.
"You're okay, you're okay." he whispered over and over, stroking my disheveled brown hair. Normally, I would have never let someone touch me like this - only Mrs. Briggs.
Soon I stopped crying, and the haunting visions went away, leaving me numb.
"It was just a dream." Ashton whispered. "It isn't real."
He didn't know what I dreamt about. He didn't know it was real.
He didn't know anything.
We stayed like this for a while, me gathered in his arms while he sat up.
"Sorry." I whispered, my voice breaking.
"It's okay." he replied. He rubbed shapes into my back, soothing me to the point where I was nearly asleep on his shoulder.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Ashton asked. I didn't answer, too tired and weak. "Daisy?"
"Oh." he muttered when he figured out I was nearly asleep. "Go to sleep, Angel."
He carefully laid me back down, hovering on top of me. Ashton rolled next to me, one arm around my waist while the other under my head. He pulled me into him and adjusted the blankets, then continued tracing shapes into my skin while whispering sweet nothings.
